That's it from all of us for this game. Do join us tomorrow for more cricketing action all around the globe. This is me, Akshay Bhide, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ajay Ahire and scorer Raju Khariya. Tata. Bye bye.
Srikkanth Anirudha | IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans Skipper: "I just have to keep playing as there are no excuses (Regarding his injury). The rain played a big part in it. I don’t think it was a 140 wicket. It was a fantastic wicket to bat on and the surface got a bit difficult to bat on after the rain break. The ball was sticking on the surface and we knew that 140 was a very good total on this surface as there was enough moisture in the wicket to hold the ball. So, we backed ourselves to defend this and happy with the effort."

S Aravind (Player of the match): "Feels great to be back bowling after a long and happy to pick up wickets in this match. It was a tricky track as the turn was there so enjoyed bowling on it. We were 15 runs short after the first innings but this was a great effort from the bowlers especially the spinners to pull this off."
Murugan Ashwin | Salem Spartans Skipper: "It was a tricky chase as the ball was sticking a bit on the surface. We did not get going and our lack of partnerships resulted in us falling short of the target. We could have gone hard inside the powerplay and too many dots hampered our chase."
Time for the presentation.
Akshay: That’s the end of the match. A solid performance from IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans sees them beat the Salem Spartans convincingly. Defending a below-par score, the Tamizhans bowled brilliantly and knocked over the Spartans on 103 in the last over to win the game by 32 runs. With this, the Spartans continue to remain winless in this year's competition.

After restricting the Tamizhans to 135 in their 20 overs, the Spartans got off to the worst start as they lost Gopinath early in the chase. He departed in the second over and R Kavin along with S Ganesh started the recovery work. Both put up 33 between them before the Tamizhans picked up quick wickets to get back in the game. They kept building pressure and never allowed the Spartans’ batters to get going as they kept picking wickets at regular intervals.

Ravi Karthikeyan tried hard on a tricky surface and scored 36 off 25 balls but his departure in the 18th over meant that it was too much for them to do in the last over. Eventually, they got bundled out on 103 as they lost the game by 32 runs. Each Tamizhans’ bowler picked up at least a wicket, with S Mohan Prasath finishing with three wickets. M Mohammed and S Aravind also chipped in with a couple of scalps as they defended the total successfully.

Earlier in the day, Salem Spartans’ skipper Murugan Ashwin won the toss and asked the IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans to bat first. The Tamizhans got off to a solid start thanks to their skipper Srikkanth Anirudha and S Aravind. Both put up a 50-run stand between them. Rain arrived in the eighth over and it allowed the Spartans to get back in the game. Their spinners bowled brilliantly in the middle phase and pulled back things. Anirudha (32) and Aravind (25) departed in quick succession and it allowed the Spartans to get back in the game.

The Tamizhans lost their way and never recovered from it. Maan Bafna remained unbeaten on 29 but failed to give his side a strong finish as the Tamizhans finished their innings on 135/5. Daryl Ferrario bowled beautifully and finished with figures of 2/21 in his four overs as it helped them restrict the Tamizhans to a low total but it proved to be too much for them as they failed to chase it down.

Umpire's review for a clean catch. Soft signal it OUT. Mohammed grabs it well above the ground and the third umpire is satisfied with it. OUT is the signal and that's the end of the match.
19.2 A Crist to S Abishiek
W WICKET!!! In the air and it has been taken on the fence. That's the match for the Tiruppur Tamizhans as they beat the Spartans. Crist in the end picks up the wicket. Abishek holds on to the fielder in the deep. Length delivery from Crist on the off stump line. Abishek goes for the heave on the leg side but he gets the inside half of the bat and it goes flat towards the deep midwicket region. Mohammed down there dives forward and takes a good catch. The umpires are checking for a clean catch but looks good so that's a game-set match for the Tamizhans.
19.1 A Crist to S Abishiek
0 Slower ball on a good length outside the off. Abishek misses the slog to the keeper.

18.6 Prasath to G Periyaswamy
W WICKET!!! Knocks him over...Prasath picks up another wicket and they are 9 down now. Fuller length from Prasath on the leg stump line. Periyaswamy looks to heave it on the leg side but the ball goes past the blade and it goes on to hit the leg stump. Second wicket of the over for Prasath. He is really having a good outing here. They are just a wicket away from sealing the deal here.

W WICKET!!! Knocks him over...Prasath picks up his first wicket and Kishoor departs on duck. Fuller length a tad outside the off. The ball spins in towards the batter after pitching.
