This is Shashank Surly signing off along with my fellow commentator, Ninaad Dixit and scorer Manish Bishnoi. Stay tuned for the Match number 9 of this FairBreak Women's T20 Tournament 2022 which is between Tornadoes Women and Barmy Army Women which is set to start at 21:30 IST. Until then goodbye and enjoy your Sunday.
Spirits win by 55 runs and have now won 2 in 2!!  Sapphires have been completely outclassed by their opponents today. Spirits have fought back really well after suffering an early setback in the game and take a convincing win by some clinical performance in all three departments.

Spirits won the toss and chose to bat and their top order got blown away in just the 5th over and were reeling on 15/3 at one stage. Then the experienced Bismah Maroof (40 off 44) paired up with Nicola Carey (70 off 43) and started the rescue act, both showcased their talent and experience and bit of T20 innovations in their partnership as they put on 114 runs for the fourth wicket in just 77 balls. Nicola Carey smashed 11 fours and 1 sixes in her innings of 70 and too many boundaries saw her downfall, Sophie Ecclestone (20 off 11) came out and provided the finishing touches in the end to take the total past 150 mark. For the Sapphires, Shabnim Ismail, Grace Harris, Kary Chan and Kim garth all got 1 wicket apiece.

Chasing 157, the Sapphires got off to the worst start possible as they had the worst powerplay off the tournament as they were reduced to 32 for 5 in the first six over as Khaka and Dunkley were just too good for the Sapphires batter and had no answer against their bowling. Kerry Chan (22 off 30) and Jade Allen (33 off 41) stitched on a sedated 46 run partnership off 54 balls both were struggling to find the gaps and the asking rate was just going out of their reach. After Chan fell there it was just a formality as the side was struggling to get to as close as possible to the Spirits score, but got skittled out for 101. Ayabonga Khaka got a brilliant 5 fer as she ended with astonishing figures of 5/9 off her 4 overs. Sophie Ecclestone and Nattaya Boochatham got 2 wickets apiece and Dunkley ended with a wicket to her name.

Spirits have gone up the ladder with 7 points and will stay at third position for the time being and Sapphires suffer their second loss of the day and are fifth in the table.
19.4 S Ecclestone to C Lovino
W Slog sweep and straight to deep midwicket! Fuller delivery on the off stump, Lovino gets down on a knee to slog this, gets it off the bottom of the bat. The fielder settles under the ball and takes a good catch. Spirit win by 55 runs.
