Babar Azam (Pakistan Captain): "The pitch was turning and gripping, we assessed the pitch well but I think we were 20 runs short. Yes, we wanted to keep Khusdil towards the backend for the last 7-8 overs. It was great to see the spinners get us back in the game, there are a few places we still need to improve on. Nicolas Pooran (West Indies Captain): "We were good in the first 45 overs but gave after few extra runs in the end, we wanted to restrict them to 250. Death bowling has been a problem in the last few years, we are building a good bowling unit by the world cup. Credit must be given to Nawaz, he bowled well and we failed to put up a partnership and we fell short. Today wasn't our day, we'll come out stronger in the next one."
Mohammad Nawaz (Player of the match): "I focused on the basic and tried to bowl in the right areas and got results in my way, we had got a fair idea as to how the pitch was turning in the first inning, me and Shadab were happy looking at the spin. It's slightly earlier for spinner to spin on this wicket. Yes, I am also focusing on batting!! The team has confidence in me and this is helping me to perform well.."

Pakistan beat West Indies by 120 runs.Home side outplayed the visitors in all the departments today .They posted a total of 275 on the board.In reply West Indies had a really poor start their inform batter Shai Hope was dismissed in the first over itself. Then Mayers and Brooks handled the innings pretty well and stitched a partnership of 67 runs for the 2nd wicket.Kyle Mayers got out on 33 runs by Wasim Jr.Then wickets started tumbling down for the visitors. Brooks departed after scoring 42 runs.
On the other hand, Pakistani bowlers were too good with their line and lengths today, Shaheen Afridi striked in the first over of the innings. Mohammad Nawaz was outstanding with his spin.He was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan today he took 4 wickets and gave just 19 runs of his 10 overs. Mohammad Wasim Jr took 3 wickets and S khan took couple of wickets
Earlier in the day, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first, They didn't get off to a good start but Babar Azam and Imam Ul Haq built a good partnership of 120 runs for the 2nd wicket. Then Imam Ul Haq got departed after scoring 72 runs.Rizwan accompanied the skipper they both stitched the partnership of 42 runs. Babar departed after scoring 77 runs. Then wickets started tumbling down for the hosts at one stage they were looking like they would post a total over 300 runs but they scored 275 runs in their 50 overs.
For the West Indies, Alzarri Joseph was exceptional with his bowling today, He was bowling on good line and lengths and was putting pressure on the Pakistani batters, He took 2 wickets and gave away just 33 runs, Anderson Philip took couple of wickets and Akeal Hosein took 3 wickets he was turning the ball very well today.
West Indies were good with their bowling performance but they disappointed everyone with their batting, They would be looking to come back stronger in the next game.

W WICKETTT!!! THAT'S IT. MOHAMMAD WASIM Jr. WITH HIS THRID WICKET FOR THE NIGHT! Good length delivery angling in on to the off stump line. It keeps low on to the batter. Phillip on the back foot fails to bring his bat down in time as the ball sneaks under the bat on to hit the off stump. All over for West Indies as Pakistan take a unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match ODI series!
