That's it from this game. New Zealand next travels to Hague to play the Netherlands in a 2-match T20I series while more cricket awaits the Scottish side as well. There is plenty of cricket happening in our network across the globe. Stay tuned to our space for more action and updates from cricket around the world.

Till next time, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my esteemed co-commentators Tugral Azmi, and Ovaise Shariff alongside scorer/analysts Dushyant Madhukar, and Bishal Mandal. Stay safe, happy, and cool until we see you with more cricket in the upcoming week, here's bidding you Goodnight and Cheers!
Mitchell Santner, New Zealand Skipper: "Pretty good. We were good in patches, but the way Mitchell and Chapman batted was great. Happy to get 3 out of 3 here. I think 8 out of 10 as we let Leask and Cross score those runs. But on this wicket, this was a good score to chase down.  We were confident and in the middle phase we lost our way, but the way Chapman and Mitchell finished things off was just amazing. So, I was happy to see the approach of our batters as to how they went about their chase. To come to Scotland and win all the matches including today, I cannot think of anything better. Off to the Netherlands now for us."
Richard Berrington, Scotland Skipper: "The side showed tremendous fight out there. We could have got to 350+. We lost our way. Cross and Leask batted well to get to 300+. On this wicket, you needed 340 at least. It's a hard ground to defend and we could not get the wickets in the middle and unfortunately, we couldn't do well. It was challenging initially and it was a challenge to us to adapt. Plenty of positives for us going forward and the Kiwis deserve it."
Mark Chapman (Player of the Match): "It's nice to be able to play in the middle, score some runs, and help my team win games. I basically played my shots when Mitch instructed me to go for it. spent a lot of time honing my straight play, and it paid off. We have some power further down, so for us, taking deep shots is important. We batted and batted fairly effectively."
This has been another sensational performance from New Zealand as they have chased down a stiff 307 runs target with utmost ease to win by 7 wickets with 25 balls left. Mark Chapman has been the star with 101 off 75 balls alongside Daryl Mitchell remaining unbeaten on 74 off 62 balls.

Chasing a stiff target of 307 for the win, the Kiwis got off to a steady start courtesy of their openers Finn Allen and Martin Guptill. They put on 78 for the first wicket before Finn Allen fell for 50 while Guptill scored 47. Dane Cleaver chipped in with 32 off 37 balls as three wickets fell in a phase of 10 overs in the middle. At 132-3, Scotland had a sniff, but then it was the Mark Chapman-Daryl Mitchell show from thereon.

Mark Chapman with his 2nd ODI hundred and his first for New Zealand remained unbeaten on 101 off 75 balls with six fours and seven sixes to his name. Daryl Mitchell gave him good company for his 74 off 62 balls with 8 fours and one six to his name. The duo added 175 runs unbeaten for the fourth wicket to take the side home with plenty to spare in the end.

From Scotland's bowling point of view, Michael Leask picked up a couple of wickets (2-46 in 8) while Hamza Tahir picked up a wicket. The others like Sharif and Sole were good as they challenged the batters, but they didn't have the luck and the wickets to show for in the column. Towards the end, they were plundered and taken to the cleaners.

It was Richard Berrington who won the toss earlier in the day and opted to bat first on an overcast morning at Edinburgh. The Scottish openers got off to a steady start as they put up 46 for the first wicket before Kyle Coetzer fell for 22. Michael Jones contributed 36 runs. But it was Matthew Cross’s 53, and Michael Leask’s 85 that propelled the hosts to get to 300+. Cameos from Mark Watt 31 and Satyaan Shariff 28 took Scotland to 306 all out which had 18 extras with them.

From New Zealand’s point of view, Michael Bracewell was the pick of the bowlers with his 3-43 in 10 overs. A couple of wickets apiece for Jacob Duffy, and Lockie Ferguson. A wicket for Blair Tickner as well alongside Daryl Mitchell who bowled two overs for 6 runs. But the pacers Ferguson and Duffy went the distance. Skipper Mitchell Santner went for 10 wicketless overs for 60 runs.

In the end, a comfortable win for New Zealand by 7 wickets with 25 balls to spare. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way soon.
