Milestone
vs Northern Knights: Northern Knights won by 12 runs by DLS Method.
This match was full of twists and turns. North West Warriors bowled out Northern Knights for 123 runs and there swing bowlers were just out of the box for the Knights. But both the teams were in the match when Warriors where at 61 for the lost of 5 wickets before rain came into play and the match never started again. The Par score at that time was 73 and Warriors were 12 runs behind the Par target and that cost the match to them.
Warriors started of good in the second inning with such a small target of 124 runs and they were in the game before they started loosing wicket because of the tight line and length bowling of Knights bowlers.
Warriors could have easily achieved this target if they were given the appropriate time by building a partnership but weather had some other plans and then the DLS method came into play which was a blessing for Knights and due to the disciplined bowling effort of Knight bowlers and the wickets they took on regular intervals helped them made Warriors score runs at a very slow run rate and helped Knights win this match with the help of DLS method.
That's it for today's coverage, I am Chinmay signing off with my fellow commentators Akshaya and Ishaan and our score analyst Ashok.
22:50 IST: The match bas been called off now. On the basis of DLS method Northern Knights have won by 12-runs.
22:45 IST: And more and more bad news for you. Rain hasn't stopped and ground staffs have brought extra covers to cover the field.
The cut off time is 23:30 IST. For the moment the rain is pouring down.
21:59 IST: Looks like the rain is back. It certainly has gone darker here at Bready. The taken off cover is back in it's place.
21:51 IST: Now the covers are being slowly removed but the pitch is still covered. The ground staffs are doing their job as everyone wait for the game to resume.
21:31 IST: Super Sobbers are drying out water on the covers. No umbrellas can be seen now. Hopefully, we will get a live action soon.
21:11 IST: Further delay as covers are on and it's still raining.
DLS Par score for North West Warriors after 23.2 is 73 which means they are 12 runs behind.
Ishan: Rain has stopped play. Though there is nothing to worry about seems just a light drizzle. Hope to see further live action.
23.2 B White to W McClintock
6 SIXXX!!! That will break the shackles here for the batting side. Tosses it fuller and outside the off. McClintock sits down on one knee and smokes it over the long off fielder for a six. He swings through the line and after sitting down. High and handsome and goes just over the out stretched hand of leaping long off man.
23.1 B White to W McClintock
0 Good length delivery on the off. McClintock on the front foot defends it to short extra covers.
