For now that brings up to the end of this enthralling encounter between Indian women and Australian women. The Aussies take away the opening game of the Commonwealth games here at Edgbaston and up next India women will be facing their arch-rivals Pakistan women on 31st July so do join us for that game and for now you can switch the tabs for India vs West-Indies T20I here at our network. This is me Ajay Ahire signing it off along with my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee with our scorer Paras Yadav. Tata...bye-bye...
Looks like we won't be having the presentations here for this game as it's not an ICC event so the rules may differ here. If anything regarding this pops up we will update it on our network...
The world champions Australia starts off their campaign with a win here at the Commonwealth games...India certainly missed the opportunity to seal the game after a great start with the ball but Ash Gardner single-handedly took the game away from them and steered her team over the winning line. Australia beat India by 3 wickets and an over to spare in the first game of the Commonwealth games and have grabbed two important points as they will go to the top of the points table of group A.

Chasing 155 the Aussies didn't get the start that they would have hoped for as the dangerous Healy was sent back towards the pavilion on the second ball. Thakur was at top of her game at the start as she got the ball to move both ways with the new ball. After the departure of Healy, the women in form Renuka Thakur send back Skipper Lanning on 8 as she ends up cutting that one straight into the hands of backward point. Beth Mooney the other opener couldn't resist for long as she dragged that one into the woods.

McGrath then came in with a positive mindset as she struck a couple of boundaries and put the pressure back on the bowlers but Thakur came into bowl her third over and she knocked her over on the score of 14. They were 4 down inside the powerplay and just after the powerplay Deepti Sharma sent back Haynes into the pavilion. Grace Harris and Ash Gardner put on a great partnership after the collapse and they took back the Aussies on the track. Harris at the start took the aggressor's role and Ash played the role of supporter right after the departure of Harris, Ash took responsibility for her and scored runs at a brisk rate. In the end, Alana played a good supporting role to Ash and both of them took the Aussies over the winning line.

India was 10-15 runs short after their innings but thanks to some lusty blows from Harman they managed to take the Indian side past the 150 mark. But credit to Grace Harris and Ash Gardner who took their team from a difficult phase and took the game away from India. Apart from Renuka Thakur none of the Indian bowlers looked threatening and as a result, Gardner and Harris took the game in their favor...
Ayan: Australia have shown why they are the reigning T20 champions. They were down and out and out of nowhere they come and win it. It just proves their depth in batting and never say die attitude. A missed opportunity for Harmanpreet Kaur and India.

4 FOUR! That's it that's the end of the game here. Fuller around the off-stump, King swings it away through midwicket into the gap as the ball races away towards the midwicket fence for a boundary. King hits the winning runs, but Gardner is the heroine here and Australia comes from behind to win by 3 wickets with an over to spare. Heartbreak for Kaur and India.
