Well KKR live another day with a win over Mumbai. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya signing off on behalf of my beloved co-commentator Ninaad Dixit who along with our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav brought you all the live actions from this mouth-watering fixture. We will meet in the next match. Until then, it's cheers!!!
Jasprit Bumrah | Man of the Match: "When you contribute with the ball with the way I did is good for us. But we didn't win today. I am happy to execute the plans and strategies well and got wickets with it is a happy thing for us. I tries hard and got rewards tonight. It was a happy thing for me personally. But as a team we didn't perform to our best and the result is in front us as well. We played well in the last two matches and won it. But today and in the past we came close to win the game but didn't close out the games well."
Shreyas Iyer | Kolkata Knight Riders Captain: "Very pleased because after losing the last game by a big margin, feels good to come back and win by a big margin is nice. We had a nice start in the powerplay and Venky targeted bowlers well. I personally felt that it wasn't easy to start for a new batter. When we went into bowl, the plan was to hit the right areas and not give room. It is really difficult. Coach and at times, CEO is also obviously involved in team selections. Each and every player takes it well, and they have put in their best efforts. The win was comprehensive, and when I spoke to the players, they were pumped up to win the game today. I'm not satisfied totally but want to maintain this."

Jasprit Bumrah is the player of the match!
Venkatesh Iyer: "It was good. I think opening the innings after a while and to make a comeback well was a satisfying one for me. I batted well up at the top. Whatever the job is for me I try to do well. Even if it is bowling, fielding or batting. See fielding is so important in this form of cricket. And I am happy to do well. I didn't get many overs with the ball but happy to contribute in whatever way I can. For me, mainly it is with the bat to provide good start up at the top and I did it today."
Rohit Sharma | Mumbai Indians Captain: "Well, we need to take that total of 165 as chase able at any given day. They played well and we have batted badly to lose it. Bumrah was exceptional. Yeah, it was just on the par side but we didn't stitch enough partnerships in the middle to chase this. I don't think that this was too much given away by the bowler's. They were at one stage 100 or so in the 10 overs and we have done well to restrict them to 165. Thanks to Bumrah. We didn't bat well and that's it. See, we haven't played consistent cricket and it is why we keep losing."
Kolkata Knight Riders live another day! Win their fifth match by 52 runs to get on the seventh spot in the table with ten points. Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field first as bowling short was the call of the day. Venkatesh Iyer and Ajinkya Rahane provided KKR the start they needed in the powerplay. The majority of the work was done by the southpaw. Venkatesh Iyer was in a different mood tonight and especially tonked the spinners scoring 43 off just 24 deliveries.

But what followed after this was a disaster. Jasprit Bumrah coming back for his second over in the 15th over did the damage and KKR went back into the shell. He followed a cracking toe crusher with a quick back of a length delivery to Andre Russell (9 off 5) and he failed to clear long on. Bumrah didn’t stop here as he added one more to the kitty in the same over with a searing bouncer to Nitish Rana (43 off 26) who gloved it to the keeper which was given out on the review.

Bumrah continued with his show in his third over and picked three more wickets with his accurate pace and lengths. Sheldon Jackson (5 off 7), Pat Cummins (0 off 2) and Sunil Narine (0 off 1) all were the victims of his masterclass spell. He bowled an amazing last over as well were he went for just one and ended his spell with brilliant figures of 4-1-10-5.

KKR got to a good start with the ball as well getting Rohit Sharma out for another cheap score in the very first over. Ishan Kishan played freely through the powerplay and got to his twelfth IPL half century (51 off 43). A quick flurry of wickets in the middle overs slowed his pace down and also amounted to his own demise.

Seven batters from MI scored in single figures as they collapsed and were dismissed for a paltry 113 giving KKR their ninth victory over the Mumbai based franchise. Pat Cummins who warmed the bench for the majority of the season made a staggering comeback with figures of 3-22 in four overs picking all three wickets in the same over.

Andre Russell chipped in with a couple wickets too, breaking the partnerships at crucial junctures. Tim Southee was at his economic best leaking only 10 runs in the three overs he bowled. Sunil Narine followed suit and conceded only 21 in the four overs. Varun Chakravarthy who made a comeback too chipped in with Tim David's wicket who was looking set hitting three boundaries in a row and also took a brilliant catch at deep third man.

Stay tuned as we continue with the post match coverage.
17.3 A Russell to R Meredith
W WICKETTT!!! And that's it!! Another run out to end the innings. Back of a length delivery angling in on to the batter. Meredith on the back foot tucks it to short mid wicket and is off for a run. Rinku stationed there hits the stumps at the striker's end direct to seal the match. Third umpire replay says that Bumrah was short of his crease.
Dropped catch but a run out chance. Replay confirm Pollard has to walk back to the dressing room!
17.2 A Russell to K Pollard
1W WICKETT!! Short delivery on the off stump line. Pollard on the back foot pulls hard at it. Top edges this pull and it goes miles up in the air towards square leg area. Jackson with the gloves goes for a catch but he was never near to it. Drops it as he dives for it. Shreyas is up at the stumps as he receives the throw from the short mid wicket fielder. But Pollard who returned for the second finds himself short of his ground at the striker's end. Single taken and third umpire replay says that going for the second run was another suicide.
17.1 A Russell to K Pollard
0 Fuller length down the leg side. Pollard misses the flick and it brushes off his pads on to the keeper.
