That brings us to the end of a doubleheader on Super Sunday. Till the next time, it's ta-ta and goodnight from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentators Akshaya Krishna Polya and Karthik Raj along with our scorer/statistician Paras Yadav
Ruturaj Gaikwad | Man of the Match- "It felt good. More good because it has come in a winning way. We were struggling for a winning momentum and personally, it feels great I have contributed to the winning cause. There will be times when you get one or two good deliveries. The type of support staff we have, I have the backing. Personally, I don't believe in form as every game you have to start from zero.

I like to play more pace. That brings the best out of me. Not really. There are some kind of balls when bowlers don't have an upper hand. They will for a short stuff in one-two deliveries then they will bowl the full one. There are not too many bowlers bowling that fast like Umran. I know that I can cash on whenever they are in my area. I was telling Devon that you take your time. As I have played here, I know this wicket. I told him that it will get easier for you. Keep yourself calm that's what I told him."
MS Dhoni | Chennai Super Kings Skipper: "I think it was a very good score to start off. When you put that kind of a score its a bit easier for the bowlers. When you change the captain it's not that a lot of thing changes. The kind of target we got is a very good one. We needed very good bowling. A bit of dew comes in which makes it difficult. When the spinners were bowling the ball was gripping a bit. Later on we had enough runs to defend. If the opposition gets off to a good tart 200 can be chased down. As I said in the toss and pre-match, we have given away a 25 runs an over in crunch situations. I have always told my bowlers that you can go for four sixes but it's the other two deliveries which will determine the game.

I don't know if they believe in that theory but that works. That right from the very start. Between me and Jadeja, he will be given a chance he knew about that. He got enough time to prepare. I wanted him to lead the side. I wanted the transition. There were a few information in the first two games but then I left it to Jadeja. I wanted that he doesn't feel that he is just gong for the toss. Spoon feeding doesn't help captaincy, I think what is important when you become the captain you have to take care about a lot of things. His mind was working a bit too much. Once your mind wants to contribute more. What really happens is the individual is not able to relax.

What I felt that it was having an effect on his game. I would love to have Jadeja as a batsman, bowler and a fielder. We were struggling for a deep midwicket fielder. It's a concern dropping 17-18 catches. There are some new bowlers who are in the side. A Bravo or a Pretorius knows what to do but for a young bowler you have to tell them. Once a player has the ball in his hands, it's lonely area. They will gradually understand the game. Mukesh has done a good job for us. In Under age cricket you can get away with things but not at this level. Acceptance and honesty is key at this level."
Devon Conway wins the Rupay on the Go 4s of the Match Award for hitting 8 fours.
Umran Malik bags the Swiggy Instamart Fastest Delivery of the Match Award for clocking 154 kph. This is also the fastest ball of the tournament so far.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is the Upstox Most Valuable Asset of the Match.
Mukesh Choudhary is the Cred Powerplayer of the Match for his spell of 2/16 in his two overs in the powerplay.
Nicholas Pooran bags the Unacademy Lets Crack it Sixes Award for smashing six maximums.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is the Dream11 Game Changer of the Match for acquiring 135 fantasy points.
Nicholas Pooran is the Punch Super Striker of the Match.
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony with Pommie Mbangwa.

Arya- A target of 203 was always going to be a tall ask for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. However they had a chance if the opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Kane Williamson got them off to a flying start. Abhishek Sharma continued his good form striking some delightful blows up front to keep the scoring rate under check. While Williamson played the 2nd fiddle, Abhishek Sharma was at his fluent best racing off to 39 in 24 deliveries before Mukesh Choudhary turned the match around with back to back wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi.

Abhishek Sharma was holed out in a bid to continue the big shots while Rahul Tripathi was cramped for room and guided one short of a length delivery straight to the short third man fielder. Rahul Tripathi’s wicket certainly made a huge difference, especially due to the fact that he has been in stupendous form in the tournament. From there on, it was Aiden Markram who joined Williamson in the middle and tried to resurrect the chase.

The two wickets did bring the run flow down but the duo was batting sensibly and was finding the odd boundaries which kept the target in check. It was Mitchell Santner who accounted for Aiden Makram in the 10th over. Nicholas Pooran joined his skipper in the middle and tried to keep the required rate in control. Both continued to find the boundaries whenever the required rate crept up but the target was a bit too much in the end.

It was Dwayne Pretorious who bagged the golden wicket of Williamson which again put CSK firmly in control of the match. Williamson couldn’t quite time the slog sweep and was struck plumb in front. Shashank Singh came into the middle and unlike the other day when he took apart Lockie Ferguson, he struggled for timing a bit and only managed to score 16 of 15 deliveries when the required rate was nearing the 14-15 mark.

Nicholas Pooran still kept SRH in the game with a blistering knock. He smashed some lusty blows but didn’t quite get the support at the other end, he would have liked. The last over went for 24 runs but with 38 runs required it didn’t matter much. He took on Mukesh Choudhary who was on a hat-trick during the match. The unbeaten knock of 64 couldn’t quite get them over the line but it will certainly help them when it comes to net run rate.

Earlier in the day it was the SRH skipper Kane Williamson who won the toss and opted to field and that proved to be a disastrous decision in end just due to the sheer brilliance of the CSK opening duo Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway. Gaikwad was in sublime touch right from the word go and played some classical shots. He took on the youngster Umran Malik and gave some tap to some of his full and fast deliveries.

He was bowling consistently at over 145-150 and despite that Gaikwad was timing the ball so so well. Conway played the anchor’s role to start off and then took a toll in the final few overs. A partnership of 187 runs was the highest opening stand for CSK in the history of IPL and it eventually took their side over the 200 mark.

Mukesh Choudhary: "They didn't lose any wicket in the first five overs. I thought to take chances with fuller lengths. After the drop catch I said to myself that what happened is happened. Without Bravo there was some pressure on us. He said yesterday that he will be not playing today and I need to take extra responsibility. Mahi bhai didn't say much before I came into bowl the last over. He just said don't ball a no ball (smiles)."
Kane Williamson | Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain: "Whenever a team gets over 200, its a hard challenge on the cards. End of the day, CSK played superbly well, put us under pressure with a big total. They played really well and are a strong side. Losing Washington and Natarajan was a real struggle for us. There were a lot of positives for us in the chase. It was a slow surface and they have some quality spinners. We have to take the positives and move on. First half of this competition, we have been playing well and can hopefully build on it"
Arya- Quite a comprehensive victory for the Chennai Super Kings in the end by 13 runs as they still keep their slim hopes alive. With three wins from nine encounters, CSK does have an outside chance if they manage to win all their next five games. It was always going to be a challenging target for SRH and despite some valiant efforts, it was a mountain to steep to climb in the end.

1 That brings us to the end of the game. Choudhary finishes off with a low full toss and Pooran hits it down the wide long-on region and could only take a single.
19.5 M Choudhary to N Pooran
6 Width on offer and another maximum for Nicholas Pooran. Change of pace disappearing. Slower delivery well outside off giving ample room to Pooran. He goes reaching out for that and ends up carving it away just over the deep cover-point boundary for a maximum.
19.4 M Choudhary to N Pooran
6 Up and over and goodbye into the eastern territories there courtesy of Nicholas Pooran. One thing about Pooran is that when he gets it from the middle it travels a long long way. This time again in the slot from Choudhary. It was like a free-hit for Pooran. Swings across the line and connects to perfection and it sails well over the deep square leg fence.
