So that's it from this breathtaking thriller. Gujarat stole the match from the hands off Hyderabad. I am AkshayaKrishna Polya who is signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Ninaad Dixit along with our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. We will meet in the next game. Until then, it's cheers!!!
Umran Malik: Hemang Badani will help with the translation. "Yes the pace is there and I try to shuffle my lengths. I did that to Hardik and then bowled the yorker to Saha. I was mixing the balls and bowling wicket to wicket. Our bowling unit is bowling really well and I am happy the way we played tonight. God willing, I will bowl 155kph as well but all I want to do is to bowl in the right areas and keep picking wickets."
Umran Malik is the player of the match!
Hardik Pandya | Gujarat Titans Captain: "I don't know how we do it. I said in the dressing room that god is taking us home. Hope we don't run out of luck when we reach the business end of the tournament. Yes, everyone are stepping out for the cause of the team and doing well. We are playing together as a group and team management is happy at where we are right now. Wriddhi batted fantastically well. We actually talked about our opening partnership in the last game and today it was that odd day where we got off to a flier. Hope we continue the same in the upcoming games. I will wait for the right time to come into bowl. But for now we have enough weapons with the ball. All the credits should go for the support staffs. They work hard behind the doors."
Rashid Khan: "Thanks to the mighty Allah. It feels good but it’s about having the belief. I have been working on my batting and am happy that it paid off. When it was 22 left, I told Tewatia that we gave 25 runs in the last over. So we can get it. Whenever we get a loose ball, we will go for it. Just try to hold your shape and hit it. I didn’t bowl well. It was a good wicket to bat on and we did well to restrict them below 200. I haven’t bowled as I would have loved to but will try to improve. Everyone is relaxed and the dressing room is calm. Everyone in the team knows their role and it helps us. Ashish bhai has kept a good environment for us to perform. These two points mean a lot to us and happy to finish on the winning side."

Kane Williamson | Sunrisers Hyderabad Captain: "Firstly, it was a great game of cricket. There were ebbs and flows throughout the 40 overs of the game. When we have two sides who are going nicely in the competition, expect a cracking contest. Great learning for us. Fantastic finish and Shashank has been in the side for five games. But he didn’t get any opportunity and credit for him to step up tonight. Credit to Gujarat for coming out on top by h. Umran has been bowling beautifully and making a real difference. Rashid has got the fastest hands going around in the world of cricket right now. Two strong sides and these things happen. Marco is a strong competitor. He will bounce back and that’s how things go in T20 cricket. It’s about how we play our game and the focus will be to bounce back in the next game."

Earlier, Hardik Pandya won the toss and invited Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a bat. Mohammed Shami proved his skipper’s decision right as he snuck through the gates of SRH skipper, Kane Williamson (5 off 8) with a cracking in-swinger. Rahul Tripathi who came at number three struck three consecutive boundaries (two fours and a six) against Shami in the fifth over. Shami retaliated with another in-swinger as trapped Tripathi (16 off 10) right in front of the stumps which was given out on the review. But Abhishek Sharma at the other end kept the scoring rate going well and was joined hands by Aiden Markram after the fall of the second wicket. Abhishek took the spin wizard Rashid Khan to the cleaners and completed his second IPL fifty. In the meanwhile, Markram also completed his fifty. His classy fifty involved many glorious back foot shots. Abhishek (65 off 42) chopped one on to his stumps in the bowling of Alzarri Joseph. But before his departure he made sure that the platform was set for the batters to follow with a 96-run stand for the third wicket. Nicholas Pooran (3 off 5) and Washington Sundar (3 off 4) didn’t add much to the total. Markram got out at 56 off 40 in trying to up the ante. But who would have thought that a young player named Shashank Singh would smash Lockie Ferguson all around the park in the last over. Shashank smoked three consecutive sixes in the last three deliveries of the innings, leaving Gujarat Titans (GT) 196 to chase. Shashank was unbeaten on 25 off just 6 while Marco Jansen was not out at 8 off 5 when they walked back to their dugout posting 195/6 in their allotted 20 overs. For Gujarat, Mohammed Shami picked up three wickets while Yash Dayal and Alzarri Joseph scalped a wicket each. Lockie Ferguson and Rashid Khan had a very rare off day with the ball.

Chasing this big total, Gujarat started on a flier note. Wriddhiman Saha took on the SRH bowlers as he slapped them all around the park. Shubman Gill at the other end supported his partner in crime. Saha struck boundaries at will and moved the scoreboard at a rapid rate. Saha's innings reminded everyone of his batting back in the 2014 season. Saha and Gill added 69 for the first wicket in just 7.4 overs. This is the highest first wicket partnership for Gujarat in the IPL. Kane Williamson introduced Umran Malik in the eighth over and it took just four deliveries for the pace man to get the wickets. Gill (22 off 24) made room and missed a quick ball. Hardik Pandya (10 off 6) came in next and top edged a quick bouncer down to the deep third man’s throat. Umran didn’t stop here as he picked up the wicket of dangerous Saha with a breathtaking yorker. Saha batted brilliantly until this delivery. He scored 68 off 38 to put his team in a stronger position. David Miller (17 off 19) and Abhinav Manohar (0 off 1) had no answers for the quick, straight and full deliveries from this pace ace from Kashmir. Umran cleaned both of them to celebrate his maiden Indian Premier League fifer. Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan in the end stole the game away from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Tewatia was unbeaten on 40 off 21 and Rashid was unbeaten on 31 off just I repeat just 11 deliveries. Marco Jansen couldn't keep his nerve and didn't bowl a yorker in the final over, costing his team the match. Umran Malik was the only bowler who took wickets and his figures read 4-0-25-5. Jansen didn't do justice for this hard work from his colleague!!! Really sad to see. But kudos to Saha, Tewatia and Rashid. With this win Gujarat Titans reach back to the top of the table with 14 points.

Akshaya: What an emphatic finish to a high scoring thriller here at Wankhede. Rashid Khan does it for Gujarat Titans. This time not with the ball but with the bat. I still can't get over from this miracle. He has done it for his side. Six over the deep fine leg fielder to finish the match and win the game by five wickets. Four sixes were conceded by the tall left-armer from South Africa. Three needed in the final delivery and Afghanistan spin wizard tore apart Marco's confidence by finishing the match in GT's favor .  Marco Jansen simply couldn't defend 22 in the last over. Speaks volume of this lucrative league. One day you are the hero and on the other day you are the culprit. 5 for 25 on a losing cause. My goodness what a performance was that from Umran Malik. Hardik has leveled the scores against Sunrisers here. They have taken the revenge for the defeat in the reverse fixture.

Akshay: You have to feel for Umran Malik here. He bowled his heart out, picked up a fifer but ended up on the losing side.
Akshaya: WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT? Miraculous batting from Rashid Khan. He turns the table around. Can't one defend 22 in the last over? Unbelievable.
19.6 M Jansen to R Khan
6 NO SUPER OVER AS SUPER RASHID FINISHES THIS OFF IN STYLE! Back of a length delivery outside the leg stump, Rashid is in the crease and hooks it over fine leg fence for six!! Gujarat Titans win and move back to the top of the table! If I can't win the game with the ball, I'd do it with the bat, says Rashid Khan! 25 from the final over against the Titans and 25 from the final over against Sunrisers as well! Superb finish to the game! Unbelievable show from Rashid Khan to finish the game against his former franchise!
Akshay: Rashid is doing a miracle against his former franchise. 3 from 1 now. Are we up for a Super Over?
Akshaya: What a game we are having. Rashid Khan against his former franchise is taking the attack to them. Three needed from the last ball now.
19.5 M Jansen to R Khan
6 HOW DO YOU HIT THAT??!!? Lower full toss outside the off stump. Rashid swings hard from deep in the crease, unleashes the helicopter over covers, uses his wrists brilliantly. Fielder is placed in the deep but the ball sails over his head for a maximum! Three runs needed off the final ball! What do we have on the cards here?
Akshaya: Much important dot ball. Brave short delivery by Jansen. Dot ball at this stage his death for the batting side. Nine from two now.
19.4 M Jansen to R Khan
0 Quicker delivery! Good change in pace from Jansen. Short and too wide outside the off stump. Rashid is standing deep in his crease and away from the stumps, tries to pull but misses. Much needed dot ball for Sunrisers.
Akshay: Fine leg, square leg, third man and covers inside the circle.
