So that's it from our end today! What an eventful night it was, being Buttler's second century of the season, Shreyas Iyer's brutal on-slaught hitting, or Yuzi Chahal's brilliant hat-trick and the fifer! Rajasthan has both the purple cap and the orange cap and is sitting in the top 2 as well. What a first half it has been for them! Join us tomorrow at 7 pm for another important match, LSG VS RCB. Yuzvendra Chahal is the Man of the Match: (Laughs on the hattrick celebration) It was like a meme in the 2019 world cup. I had to take wickets in that over to change the result of the match. Felt really good that it went my way. I planned to bowl wide and mixed things up. I worked with coaches after I learned the size of the boundaries. In my mind, I knew pat was thinking of Googly. So I didn't want to take any chance and just wanted to bowl a dot ball. My googly was coming out well and sent it down to Venkatesh Iyer.
Sanju Samson: "It did get a little bit tense, but that's IPL, it gets interesting and intense, things get very busy, it's important to stay calm and believe in yourself. There are some things which have to be used at the right time, you need to understand the momentum and mindset and slow down the game to affect it in a positive manner. I respect KKR, they are a very solid team, we never thought we were in the game but a few wickets and we were back. I don't think I need to talk much about Jos, the whole world knows about his prowess. I feel I need to mention Ashwin's carrom ball and Devedutt Paddikal for hanging around with Jos Buttler. It was really commendable to see Obed McCoy thrive under pressure in the game."

Obed McCoy: "I feel good, this is my first game since the injury last year, I had to come in and perform as well I could. I've been working really hard these past few months. I know my skills and normally try to back them, not played much cricket, but used the net practice to give myself scenarios to perform. But it's not easy going into the match but it's all about holding the nerves. I was basically saying that batters are looking for power, so I thought let's keep it on the leg side. It's good having Hettie and he's been giving me good advice and give my best for the team."
Shreyas Iyer: "The way we started, we did really well according to the run rate. The way Finchy started, he took off pretty well and from their onwards we started slowing up a bit and we couldn't continue with the flow we got in the start. I think we lacked a bit there but it is a part of the game when you are chasing such a big score. Unfortunately we couldn't click. My plan was to bat till the end and the opposite batsmen had to take on from ball one and it was the plan. It was Yuzi and the match up. I didn't time the ball well and it's really disheartening when you are close and don't finish the game. [Buttler] started slow, he took nine balls for three and after that he just set off. The way he maneuvers the ball and plays with the field. He is a classy player and he has shown it in the past matches he has played before. Kudos to him the way he played, he dominated the batting and obviously wanted his early wicket as the scoreboard would have looked completely different.
Phew! 11 runs needed off the last over and McCoy gave away just 3 runs and took 2 wickets to give his team a win! Another nail-biting finish here in the greatest T20 premier league of the world! Today was Shreyas Iyer, Buttler, and Chahal's show, irrespective of this result. Rajasthan Royals win a thriller by 7 runs! The first innings was all about the Jos Buttler show!! 103 off just 61 balls and smashed the KKR bowlers all over the park. Paddikal got a good start(24 off 18) but could not convert it. Samson played a good little cameo of 38 off 19 and supported Buttler brilliantly till the 15th over. The runs were drying up until the last over where Hetmyer scored 17 runs and took the team total to 217/5. Narine was the best KKR bowler today(4-21-2). Varun Chakravarthy(2-30-0) and Cummins(4-50-1) were smashed all over the park today and looked no threat at all. Mavi bowled some good line and lengths even in death overs(4-34-1).
KKR lost Narine on the first ball itself. The pressure was on Finch who was struggling up a bit in the start but got his eyes set and never looked back! Scored 58 off just 28 deliveries and took the total to 107 in just 9 overs! Rana came, played a little cameo of 18 runs, and went. Russell was bowled to Ashwin's one of the best deliveries of Ipl and the game looked completely equal after his dismissal. Shreyas Iyer blocked one end and played some mind-boggling shots. Scored 85 runs off just 52 deliveries and almost snatched the win out of RR's hands as Chahal got him with a quicker one. Umesh Yadav probably played one of the best cameo's of his career (21 off 9 balls) but could not get his team through the finishing line.
Chahal (4-40-5 ) took his first IPL fifer and also his first-ever T20 hat-trick after being on-a-hat-trick for the third time this IPL and completely changed the course of the match in just one over! He showed why is he the smartest leg spinner in the world! Trent Boult (4-48-0) and Prasidh(4-43-1) both didn't look in good touch at all, being the most expensive bowlers today! McCoy was expensive today until his last over where he successfully defended 11 runs and became the hero for his team!!
19.4 O McCoy to U Yadav
W No he can't, tries to go big over square leg but misses a full and straight delivery on the leg stump! Misses the ball and loses his leg stump! What a thriller we have witnessed at the Brabourne stadium! Brilliant batting performance from Umesh Yadav but didn't get anyone to back him lower down the order! Rajasthan win by seven runs and reach at the second position on the points table.
