Commentary

So that's it from our side today! We have witnessed one of the best nail bitting contest this season and is this the start of Killer-Miller who is looking in some tremendous form. Gujrat Titans are looking the team to beat, winning 5 games out of 6. CSK will have to look into their bowling department and work on it, probably trying Dwaine Pretorius once again. David Miller(Man of the Match) : Have been working really hard. You mentioned Faf (du Plessis) - he's always number 1 in the gym so trying to better him. It does take me back to the memory lane but I was just trying to play my game and 'see the ball, hit ball' in that sense. I was just looking to play my natural game and it's nice that it came off. (On batting at 4) It's just the position I happen to have played throughout my career but 16/3 in the Powerplay sort of gives me the opportunity to shine and I did. I obviously got more time to play a big knock and I'm happy. (On Rashid Khan's onslaught) It releases a lot of pressure - with a chase like that you needed someone to help out and that was an exceptional over from him. In my opinion, it was the game-changer. He struck it beautifully. The first couple of games we played we got over the line in a close win. The dice has definitely rolled over to our side - Hopefully, we can keep the momentum going.

Rashid Khan, Winning Skipper: "I thank God for this win. It was a dream for me to captain the side in IPL and deliver a win in that it's a dream. We wanted to take the game deep and we were confident about the chase. I told David to take the game as deep as he can. Definitely in this position that I haven't batted in the first 5 games and then I told them that I wanted to go out there and am glad that I did the job today. I was trying to hit that hard as David was hitting the. I took the responsibility to clear the short boundary and luckily he bowled in my zone."

Abhinav Manohar- I felt great. Miller played a blinder and so did Rashid. We were hoping to get over the line and it was a great match. I was sitting in the same position. Didn't move an inch. Hardik is full of energy. It was a great team effort today. We did amazingly well. Tough for rashid. He is captaining but he handled it well. He bowled the 19th over, He is going great with both bat and ball. I am enjoying my time here and there no pressure from the management to do this and that. Just go out and express yourself.

Ravindra Jadeja, CSK skipper- I think we started brilliantly. First six overs. was very good as a bowling unit. But the credit goes to David miller. He played some good cricket shots. When we were batting, the ball was holding. a bit. We thought it was a par score. We didn't execute our plans in the last five overs. See. Ithink Jordan is an experienced giy and I thought let me go with him. He can bowl different sort of yorkers but unfortunately it didn't happen today. This is what T20 cricket is all about.

Shubham: Pheww! What a brilliant nail-biting contest here. Gujrat Titans win this match by 3 wickets! 13 runs were needed in the final over and Miller made sure he guides his team to the victory line. CSK scored 169 in the first innings, courtesy of Gaikwad's 73 off just 48 deliveries and Rayadu's crucial 46 runs. Robin Uthappa and Moeen Ali were dismissed in single-digit scores early on and Csk looked in some trouble. Gaikwad and Rayadu stitched a brilliant 92-run partnership to rescue their team from 32/2. Rayudu was brilliant throughout his innings and took on the Gujrat bowlers. Jadeja played a good cameo of 22 off 12 and took his team to a decent total. Shami(4-20-1) was the most economical bowler today, bowling some tight lines and lengths. Alzarri bowled a decent spell today (4-34-2) Lockie(4-46-0) was the most expensive bowler as he could not get his length right today.

Gujrat Titans had their worst possible start of the season with 16/3 as Gill, Vijay, and Manohar were all dismissed cheaply. Saha was given a chance today but couldn't capitalize on it(11 off 18 balls). Tewatia could not get going at all today as the CSK bowlers kept bowling him outside off! Miller was alone fighting from one end and reminded once again why he is named KILLER-MILLER. Scored 94 runs off just 51 deliveries and always kept the run rate in check. Rashid Khan played the best possible T20 knock of his career with some mind-boggling shots!! He came in at the 13th over when it was 87/5 and after setting his eyes, completely changed the course of the game, scoring 40 runs off just 21 balls.

Theekshana was the best bowler for CSK today(4-24-2). DJ Bravo once again used all his T20 experience and bowled a brilliant spell and took 3 crucial wickets. Mukesh(3-18-1)bowled some good lines and lengths in the powerplay and kept the batsmen in check. Jordon was the most expensive bowler today(3.5-58-0) and was hit all over the park! This is a very crucial win for the Titans and also a satisfying one as their Captain Hardik was not playing and still, they kept themselves in the match, which shows their winning attitude!

Ajay: Ohh man... Miller take a bow. 94 not out from 51 balls. Takes his team over the line in some style. And not to forget the game-changing innings from Rashid Khan.

2 Is it a run-out? If Ferguson has made this Gujarat Titans win or else 1 required of the final delivery. Jordan goes for the yorker and ends up getting that a hit high on the bat down the ground. Ferguson was scampering for a couple and in the end reaches the crease despite Jordan whipping off the bails. He had to turn around to dislodge the stumps and that was the decsive factor. A victory for the Gujarat Titans in the end and Miller has taken them home from a very precarious situation.

4 Miller finds the gap and down towards the deep square leg boundary. A fuller-length delivery on the stumps from Chris Jordan. Miller heaves it down the leg side. A bit of inside half of the bat but right n the gap down the deep square leg region and finds the boundary. Just 2 reuqired of the last 2 and the pressure is now huge on Jordan.

Ajay: They are checking for waist height no-ball. It looks really close here. And it's a no-ball. Free hit coming up now. So only 6 runs are needed now.

NB That might be too high and we might go upstairs to have a look at that. It was taken at short third man but was it too high? Was it over the waist? The decision is pending and Bruce Oxenford has to decide. Was a full toss outside the off-stump. Was on the higher side and Miller throws his hands at that. Ends up getting an outside edge which is brilliantly taken by Shardul Thakur at short third man. This has been called a no-ball as it was over the waist. Free-hit coming up. Chris Jordan knew that the height of the delivery would go against him and had a sheepish smile on his face.

Ajay: Ohh yess Miller you beauty....Jordan misses the line and Miller picks that one up over the deep fine leg for a maximum. One hit away from leveling the scores.

6 Here's the first of the two sixes GT required to win the match before this delivery and that has been picked away off his pads and it goes well o er the deep fine leg fence. On a length this time from Jordan. Was in the slot, Miller shuffles across ever so slightly and uses the pace of the ball to help it over the fine leg fence. Brilliant batting by the South African batsman. He has certainly been on fire today.

Ajay: Two dot balls from Jordan and he is keeping them ahead of the game.

0 That has been slammed down the ground but no timing on that and straight to the long-on fielder. More from the inside half of the bat and he refuses the single. He thinks he can win this single handedly for the Titans.

0 It might have just clipped the foot of Miller and Jordan gets away with that. Dhoni behind the stumps does well to stop the boundary. Jordan goes for the yorker on the pads and Miller doesn't manage to get that away. A precious dot ball to start the over.
