That's it that concludes the presentation here in Mumbai. It was a great game of cricket that has gone to the wire and Tewatia did the Tewatia again here at the Brabourne against his favorite opposition Punjab Kings. Shubhman Gill | MoM: "It is crucial to keep the scoreboard going. It is important to hit those gaps because this outfield is rapid. It is just about execution. It was just one of those days where I was hitting the ball well and finding the gaps as well. I felt I was in a good zone and I continued that. I am hitting the ball hard, trust me. I am doing my best to hit it hard, it might not look that but I feel it. I have not been told directly but yes as an opener, I have to bat through the innings, so that it is easier for the big-hitters to hit it in the end. Instead of not thinking too much in the nets, I try and work and reduce my dot balls as much as possible. I keep on taking singles so that the pressure is not built up. Not sure about the celebrations now, it takes us one hour to reach the hotel."
Hardik Pandya(Winning captain): "You know lots of ups and downs happening nowadays so it has become normal for me. Honestly hats off to him the way Rahul played in the last over was absolutely surreal. It was a Kings game to be honest at the end and Tewatia took the game away from them. Gill played really well and he is always there for the team credit also goes to Sudharsan who built a solid partnership with him. The body is doing well right now but I am not used to bowling the four overs so a bit of stiffness."

Rahul Tewatia: "Amazing feeling.
Nothing to think about. It was always to go out there and hit the sixes. I planned against
Smith and tried to execute it. It came out of my middle of the bat and I knew
it was going out of the ground. I pre-planned because the first ball he bowled
me was outside off and I planned to shuffle and hit it for six. Everyone in the
camp is chilled. Ashish Bhai, Gary just tell us to back ourselves and execute those
plans."
Mayank Agarwal | Losing Skipper: "It was a
tough game. We fought hard but I think we were 5-7 runs short. We fought
back in the game with a couple of wickets in the middle. We did well to get to
that total after losing a couple of early wickets. It was great execution
from Arshdeep and Rabada. We completely back Odean and it has been a hard game
for him. It’s alright. It’s a game of cricket. It is a bitter one to swallow but
the talk in the group has always been to back the guys. If he had a bad day, he
had a bad day. It happens in cricket but we will back him 100%."
Guys take a deep breath because those were quite uncomfortable last couple of minutes for all of us. But Tewatia man kept on doing this kind of thing again and again. 12 needed off the last 2 balls and Tewatia does that with absolute ease. Tewatia loves playing against Punjab Kings. That heartbreak in Sharjah a few years back and now this. Incredible absolute incredible from Tewatia. And not to forget the valuable 96 runs from Shubhman Gill who kept them in the game till the end. So it's 3 in 3 for the Gujrat Titans as they beat the Punjab Kings by 6 wickets. A great start for them in the IPL.
Chasing 190 on the good batting surface the Titans lost the wicket of Matthew Wade early in the innings as his poor run in IPL continues. Then the young left-handed batter Sai Sudharsan joined Shubhman Gill in the middle. Gill took on the pacers inside the powerplay and he made full use of the field restrictions. He was timing the ball really well today. On the other hand Sai Sudharsan looked class apart and played some impressive strokes. He scored 35 runs from 30 balls but ended up chipping a simple catch straight into the hands of skipper Mayank at short extra cover.

The Kings made their way back into the game after the 16th over as they bowled really well and kept the scoring rate below the required rate. Hardik Pandya in at number 4 played some cracking shots to begin his innings. Rabada bowled the penultimate 19th over and he restricted picked up the important wicket of Shubhman Gill at the score of 96. Before that Arshdeep Singh bowled a really good 18th over where he just gave away 5 runs and changed the game in favor of the Kings. Hardik Pandya got out in the last over because of some horrific running between the wickets on the score of 27 runs from 18 balls.
19 were needed in the last over and Odean Smith bowled 4 good balls but he misses the radar in the last two balls and Tewatia smokes them into the stands to steer his team over the line.
