Milestone
It was a close game, Nortje spell lost it for DC today, he bowled very wayward and give away lots of runs, he bowled 2 no balls as well. DC need to take the positives out of this game and come back stronger in the next one. That's it from us, I am Ovaise Shariff signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ajay Ahire and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Do join us for all the action from tomorrow's game between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings. Until then it's Good Bye and Good Night.
Quinton de Kock | Player of the Match: "Look It was a matter of just playing what's in front of you, reacting to it. It was a chaseable score. You want a decent start in the powerplay and we didn't want to get too ahead in the chase. Was important to keep wickets in hand. Prithvi did make it look easy, for me I also felt that it was a slow surface. Even with the dew, there was a bit of grip. If we were chasing 180, might have been difficult but thanks to our bowlers."
KL Rahul | LSG Captain: "Obviously, would have loved the bowlers to assess things a bit earlier, but it was nice to see them discuss the lines, lengths and pace to bowl after the powerplay. That was the honest reason actually (on him saying at the toss that he had no idea why he opted to bowl). Can't make up a reason every time. You don't know what to expect from the pitch. We batted well in the powerplay, we are a team comfortable chasing down targets, at the end of the day you have to play well to win matches, the dew slightly helped us, everybody prefers chasing in the tournament because of dew. Every time he has gone into bat Badoni has played well, every single time he has gone in there was lots of pressure. Great learning for him, important for him to keep working hard and stay humble. Been a complete team effort so far. The way everyone has stepped up has been brilliant. "

Rishabh Pant | DC Captain: We were 10-15 runs short, Avesh and Holder bowled very well in the death and didn't allow us to score freely. We fought back well but the dew didn't help us out in the middle. the credit has to be given to the Lucknow team, they played well and deserved to win. The powerplay was fine, we didn't get any wicket, our spin attack did well in the middle overs but in the end we were 10-15 short which was very decisive at the end.
Badoni clears the fence and takes his team over the line. And with that Lucknow Supergiants beats the Delhi Capitals by three wickets. Third win of the season for the Lucknow-based franchise and a great start to their IPL career. Sigh relief on the faces of Lucknow camp and rightly so looks like it is going towards the last ball finish but Ayush Badoni came and smacked a couple of boundaries to take his team home. Quinton De Kock played a fine knock here and nice little cameos from the others to support him.

Chasing 150 on a good batting surface Lucknow Supergiants started off really well inside the powerplay as they scored at a brisk rate without losing any wicket. Skipper KL Rahul played the anchor role and the South African import smoked some cracking strokes. Spin was introduced early in the innings but De Kock played them really well. Finally, Kuldeep Yadav broke the opening stand in the 10th over as KL Rahul mistimed the areal shot straight into the hands of Prithvi Shaw at long-off on the score of 24.

Quinton De Kock took over all the charge after the departure of KL Rahul and scored a magnificent half-century. Evin Lewis in at number failed to play the spin and lost his wicket to Lalit Yadav on the score of 5. Anrich Nortje who came back from an injury had a very tough outing as he was taken away for huge blows and in his 3rd over he bowled the second waist height no-ball and as a result, he was taken away from the attack with 10 balls to spare. Kuldeep Yadav came back into the attack to complete his over and on the last ball of the over he did manage to pick up the wicket of Dangerous De Kock on the score of 80. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowler as he picked up a couple of wickets in his spell.

Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya played sensibly after the fall of the wicket of De Kock as they kept the scoreboard ticking and scored a crucial boundary at right time. Hooda lost a wicket on the first ball of the last over but Ayush Badoni the young sensation scored 10 runs in only 3 balls and delivered the final punch.

Stay tuned for the presentations....
19.4 S Thakur to A Badoni
6 SIXXX!!! Finishes it off in style, was a full-length delivery, outside off, Badoni times the ball to perfection and hits it all the way in the stands over covers. LSG has done it, Badoni is a fine talent, definitely one to watch out for in the future. Lucknow have won the game by 6 wickets. DC will be very very disappointed.
19.3 S Thakur to A Badoni
4 FOURR!! Full and outside off,  Badoni hits it in the gap between covers and mid-off for a boundary. Was a shot in pressure, the youngster has done it once again.
19.2 S Thakur to A Badoni
0 Slower off-cutter, dragged his length back, was close to a wide and he gets away with it. Dot ball. Umpire doesn't call it a wide.

Ajay: Is there a twist in the tail guys? 5 needed off now from the last 5 balls. Badoni is the new man in now.
19.1 S Thakur to D Hooda
W GONNEEE!! Are we seeing a twist in the tail??? Was a full-length delivery, outside off, Hooda swings hard and gets the bottom half of the bat towards the diving sweeper cover fielder who takes it brilliantly. 5 runs are needed of 5 deliveries.
