Right then we can see the players are shaking their hands which means it's a draw here at Headingley between the battle of Roses. The 7 overs were still remaining in the day but 4 more wickets on this wicket on a huge task for the visiting side and that's why they decided to shake the hands and put the curtains on the game. Harry Brook stood like an unmovable rock in the last session of the match as he held the one end solidly to secure the draw here at Headingley.

So plenty of runs were scored in this game but one innings that stands out in all those is from the bat of young Keaton Jennings who scored 238 in the first innings for Lancashire which helped them to post the mammoth total of 566 in the first innings of the game and he was well supported by the fine century from the bat of Steven Croft and then gritty innings from skipper Dan Vilas who scored 82. Dominic Bess was the pick of the bowler in that innings as he picked up 3 wickets but the rest of the bowlers failed to make an impact with the ball for the white roses. Following that mammoth total of Lancashire, Yorkshire Batters failed to play out the opening spells of opposition pacers and went on the back foot early in the innings, Then the former English skipper Joe Root came to the rescue and scored fine century for Yorkshire and took his to a total of 379. Parkinson was the start with the ball for the Lancashire in that innings as he picked up 4 wickets.

Following on in the second innings the start was the same for the Yorkshire as it was in the first innings and this time their star batter Joe Root was also sent back early towards the pavilion by Anderson. Then Harry Brook played sensibly in the last two of the match and took his team towards the draw. Anderson was the most impactful bowler for the visiting side in the second innings.
