10:58 PM IST| That brings us to the end of a brilliant game of First Class cricket, which saw a sea-saw battle between both Yorkshire and Northamptonshire. In the end both teams were defiant to accept defeat as the match ends in a thrilling draw. This match will be one of the best comebacks in Northants history. This is Shashank Surly taking a leave from along with my co-commentator Saiprasad Kagne and scorer Yogesh. Goodnight and goodbye.

Match Summary| Shashank: Yorkshire were always ahead in this game when they made 296 in the first day, through well made fifties from Harry Brook, Dawid Malan and Jordan Thompson. Northamptonshire had their chances in the first innings but couldn't capitalize on them. Gareth Berg was the star for the hosts as he got a 5fer in the first innings.

Northants innings never gained the momentum in their first innings batting as they were down to 90/5 and some rear gaurd action from Emilio Gay, who made a brilliant and Luke Procter's defiant cameo of 37 took the hosts to 204 and were 92 runs behind the Yorkshire's total. Jordan Thompson and Matt Revis got 4 and 3 wickets respectively.

Yorkshire made the most of their first innings lead as they went on to make a mammoth 406/3d, all their batters got great start as Adam Lyth made 50 and Harry Brook and Dawid Malan made brisk seventies, but the star of the innings was George Hill's 150 who completeley anhiliated Northants below par bowling. Yorkshire had set a daunting target of 499 and needed to take 10 wickets in a minimum of 120 overs.

Skipper Ricardo Vasconcelos and Will Young survived the 24 overs left on day 3 and went unscathed into stumps at 56/0. Haris Rauf and Matt Revis got three quick wickets in the first hour of day 4 and reduced the hosts to 79/3. Rob Keogh and Will Young stedied the innings with a 99 run stand, as George Hill dismissed Keogh for 48 and Luke Procter fell soon to Dom Bess.  Will Young went quickly in the last session as he chopped one onto his stumps off Matt Revis. Lewis McManus and Matt Kelly weren't going down with a fight as both frustrated the yorkshire bowlers and took the score past 300. Matt Kelly's lavish innings of 42 came to an end by a brutal yorker from Matt Revis, Lewis McManus notched up a brilliant fifty and made 62 off 141 and took his team home safely with Gareth Berg to ensure a draw. Matt Revis was the best bowler for Yorkshire with figures of 3/53.
10:45 PM IST| Shashank: Its's all over here at Northamptonshire!!! The game has ended in a draw and Northamptonshire have done the unthinkable against one of the giants of the division. Northamptonshire needed to bat out a minimum of 96 overs today to save this match and Yorkshire needed 10 wickets. Yorkshire made early inroads as they picked 3 early wickets in the first hour of the day and had Northants from 66/0 to 79/3, thanks to some brilliant short pitch bowling from Haris Rauf and disciplined bowling from Matt Revis. Rob Keogh and Will Young stuck together to deny Yorkshire by making a 99 run stand, which was finally broken by Yorkshire's eight bowler, Graham Hill as he got rid of Rob Keogh for 48. Luke Procter didn't last long as he got trapped in front of the poles off Dom Bess for 13. Northants were 5 down for 215 at the tea interval and needed to survive minimum of 32 overs. Will Young fell pretty early after the break for a well mad 96 off 241 balls as he chopped on to his stumps in the 94th over. Northants had to survive another 26 overs, Lewis McManus and Matt Kelly put on a reargaurd act in the end which kept on frustrating the Yorkshire bowlers and the Northants score went past 300. McManus held the Steelbacks innings from end with his valiant knock of 62 off 141 and Kelly lit up the game with some cracking shots. Matt Kelly's innings of 42 was cut short by a brutal Yorker from Matthew Revis when there was just 4 overs left in the game. Gareth Berg survived some tough 10 balls and ensured Northants end a historic draw in the end. Matt Revis was the star as he got 3 wickets today and Haris Rauf just got the 2 early wickets.
