That is all we have from the comm box today. Till the next time it's ta-ta from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty), my fellow commentators Badal Pareek and Saket along with our scorer Manish Bishnoi.
Tamim Iqbal (Winning Captain): "Very happy with our win tonight, The partnership Liton and Mushy created was amazing, though we did not finish well with the bat the bowlers did the job for us. The bowlers have been brilliant. Very important to win and get those points. When you play well make the most of it and win as many points."
Liton Das (Player of the Match): "Playing one day after a long time and nothing changes in terms of approach for me.  Enjoyed batting and the plan was to bat at least 30-35 overs and I batted with mindset which kept me going and helped me hunt the small targets I had in mind."
Hashmatullah Shahidi (Losing Captain): "We were happy bowling first but Liton and Rahim took the game away from us, we tried to keep the batters in check but maybe gave one too many extras in the game, the next game we will try and keep the extra runs in check!"
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal who won the toss and opted to bat. Bangladesh got off to a brisk start courtesy of their openers Tamim and Liton Das. The latter in particular looked in great touch right from the outset and took his side off to a flying start in the powerplay before the fall of Tamim's wicket in the 7th over. However, the duo of Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das kept the scoreboard ticking, finding the boundaries at crucial moments.

After a partnership of 46 runs, Shakib had to perish when he was struck plumb in front by a delivery from magic man Rashid Khan. He started off pretty well as he does on most occasions. However, with Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim at the crease, both the batters started picking Rashid Khan with moderate ease.

It was a poor piece of captaincy from Hashmatullah Shahidi as he never kept any attacking field positions for the leg-spinner. Once the duo was set, things started to get easier and easier for them. It was the batsmanship of the highest order. Both played some delectable shots and Liton Das, in particular, was a class above the rest. The way he timed the ball to perfection and kept the scoreboard ticking was exemplary, especially in the middle overs.

A partnership of 202 runs set the platform for a breezy finish. While Liton Das completed a well-deserved century, Mushfiqur Rahim had to be content with a knock of 86 but that was pivotal in getting Banglades over the 300 mark. The Afghanistan bowlers were spot on in the final few overs or else Bangladesh was threatening to score atleast 320 at one stage. Eventually, they finished on 306 in their allotted 50 overs. Fareed Ahmad was the pick of the bowlers bagging a couple.

Arya: If Afghanistan had to get anywhere close to the victory target, a brisk start was needed but at the same time they couldn't afford to lose too many wickets. However, that was exactly what happened with Afghanistan in the powerplay. They lost three important wickets in the powerplay which reduced them to 34/3 in the 10th over. It was a good spell of fast bowling by the Bangladesh new ball bowlers.

Once the spinner came in, the duo of Najibullah Zadran and Rahmat Shah settled down and started ticking the scoreboard. They also found some important boundaries to bring his side back into the equation. However, the required rate kept climbing and the duo had no other option but to go after the bowlers. In an attempt to play the big shots, both Najib and Rahmat Shah was dismissed in a space of four overs which derailed the run-chase to a large extent.

There was a brief little partnership between Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan which ignited the hopes of a dramatic turnaround. However, after the loss of Nabi’s wicket, the onus fell on the shoulders of Rashid Khan to stage something epic. He did strike some incredible shots but Mustafizur Rahman was a bit too much for him as he castled him with a perfect yorker on the channel. The last two wickets was a formality as Bangladesh eventually completed a 88 runs thumping win over the Afghans.

Arya: A comprehensive victory in the end for Bangladesh as they seal the series with a match still to go. The run chase never got going and eventually fell short by 88 runs.
Bangladesh won by 88 runs here and have clinched the ODI series. They have a 2-0 lead in the 3 match ODI series.
45.1 A Hossain to F Farooqi
W And that's the end of the match. A fuller-length delivery outside off. Farooqi tries to push this on the up down the cover region but doesn't make any contact and the stumps are disturbed. A comprehensive win by 88 runs for Bangladesh as they take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
