2:40 AM IST: It was a fascinating game of cricket, went down to the wire and Gloucestershire got over the line, breaking the hearts of all the home supports at Canterbury. That's it from us, I am Ovaise Shariff signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Arya Shekar Chakraborthy alongside scorer/analyst Ashok. Hope you enjoyed the coverage. Tune in tomorrow for all the live action from other matches around the globe. Until then, It's Goodbye and Goodnight!!

2:27 AM IST | Ovaise: Gloucestershire held their nerves in the end and have won by 5 runs. What a cricketing game of cricket, went down to the last delivery!! All 3 results were possible, Higgins nails his yorker and wins it for the visitors!!

Let’s have a recap, Kent won the toss and opted to field first on a flat-looking surface. Miles Hammond and Chris Dent came out to open the batting for the visitors and a four was hit off the verst first ball by Miles but was dismissed in the same over by Jack Leaning who opened the bowling along with Matt Miles for Kent. Ian Cockbain joined Dent and together they stitched a brilliant partnership and smashed the bowlers all around the park. The pair had set up a brilliant platform for the middle order to come and capitalize.

Spin was introduced into the attack and Dent was severe on the Qais Ahmed, The Afghan leg spinner was taken to the cleaners but he came back strongly and got his man with a brilliant tossed-up delivery, deceiving Dent into a false stroke. Gloucestershire were 2 down with the score reading 85 after 8.5 overs. The New Zealand international walked out bat and joined Ian Cockbain and took the visitors past the 100 runs mark. Glenn Phillips had come out with a positive intent and took on the bowler right from the get go.

Ian Cockbain excellent knock of 64 from 41 delivered came to an end on the first ball of the 15th over. Glenn Phillips was unbeaten on 62 of just 37 delivery and powered his team to a fabulous total of 195 in their 20 overs. The pitch was looking like a belter, the ball was coming onto the bat nicely and Kent would've fancied their chances chasing this huge total in the innings break.

Openers Tawana Muyeye and Joe Denly came out to begin proceedings in the pursuit of a stiff target of 196. Muyeye struck a couple of handsome boundaries before falling to Josh Shaw. Joe Denly kept up the good work and in the company of Jordan Cox, started rebuilding the run-chase. Cox struck some exceptional blows but ate up a few deliveries up front which put a bit of pressure on the other batters.

Both the set batters Joe Denly and Jordan Cox was dismissed in quick intervals as Gloucester was well on top of the game. Kent needed some vital contributions from their middle and the lower middle-order if they had to harbour hopes of chasing the target down. It was Sam Billings and Alex Blake who took the onus on themselves to take the match deep. Billings who came into the match not in the greatest of forms showed glimpses of his power-hitting skills.

Billings scored a 13 balls 26 before perishing at the hands of Mohammad Amir who bowled a splendid spell to restrict the Kent batters. He started off well and then came back with his final two overs which proved to be decisive in the end. Amir bagged two crucial wickets in the form of Billings and Alex Blake, the batters who had the ability to finish the match for their side.

Blake struck 36 of just 24 deliveries and kept the match interesting till the last ball was bowled. A tie was still possible when the last ball was being bowled with Kent needing 7 of the final delivery. Eventually, Higgins held his nerves and nailed the yorker on the final delivery which eventually helped Gloucester win by 5 runs. Amir and Josh Shaw were the pick of the bowlers for Gloucester bagging a couple each.

19.6 R Higgins to J Leaning
1 Ryan Higgins absolutely nails the yorker and manages to hand a victory to Gloucestershire. Leaning swings across the line and gets it from the inside half of the bat down the midwicket area and takes a single.
Ovaise: Tie?? 6 needed off the last ball.
19.5 R Higgins to J Leaning
6 Leaming has to ended that for a maximum. Higgins goes for the yorker and misses it by a whisker. Traditional shuffle across the off-stump and flicks it away from the bottom half of the bat but it still clears the deep square leg fence.
19.4 R Higgins to J Leaning
2 A good-yorker on the stumps and Leaning gets it away down the long-on region and scanpers for a couple.
19.3 R Higgins to J Leaning
4 That will skip away for a boundary. A low full toss on the leg-stump and that has been whipped away from the cue end of the bat and gets it away in the gap towards deep backward square leg and off to the boundary ropes. Leaning couldn't quite get that away from the centre of the bat but a four nonetheless.
19.2 R Higgins to J Leaning
0 Another great delivery from Higgins. In the blockhole on the stumps and Leaning only manages to dig that out back to the bowler.
19.1 R Higgins to J Leaning
0 Swing and a miss on this occasion. Almost a yorker-length delivery a tad outside off, Leaning swipes across the line but doesn't make any contact.
Ovaise: 19 of 6!!  It's going to be an incredible finish. Can Jack Leaning get them over the line, Can he do it?

18.6 M Amir to G Stewart
4 Poor bit of work by Ryan Higgins at deep cover-point. Was a slower fuller-length delivery well outside off, Stewart checks his shot at the last moment, poor work in the deep as Higgins allows it to sneak between his legs and off to the boundary ropes.
BUZZERS!!! Amir bowls a high full toss and it's free hit time!! Can Kent do it? They need a miracle.
18.6 M Amir to G Stewart
2nb A waist high full toss. Stewart swings across the line and gets it from the top half of the bat. It has been taken by the fielder running from long-on but that is a a no-ball and Amir has to reload that. A couple taken when the ball was up in the air.

18.5 M Amir to A Blake
W Mohammad Amir gets his man but Alex Blake will feel a bit gutted here. He played that very well to be honest but his attempted slice carries all the way to Tom Smith stationed at deep point. Amir throws it on a fuller-length well outside off. Blake had to reach out for that, makes good enough connection. Gets the timing but not the elevation and the catch has been well taken in the deep by Tom Smith.
18.4 M Amir to A Blake
4 That has been beautifully played by Alex Blake. Bowls a full one angling into the stumps. Blake manages to hit that straight down the ground and with both mid-off and mid-on in the circle it was always going to be a boundary.
