NIKHIL: So, we are done here with London Spirit winning it by 17 runs.
London Spirit started a bit cautiously as they scored 41 for the loss of 1 wicket in the first set of 25 deliveries. Bell-Drummond and Rossington started well as they scored 41 for the first wicket partnership. Ben McDermott played a good cameo of 32 runs. Dan Lawrence was the standout batter as he scored 43 runs.
For Welsh Fire, Ish Sodhi took a couple of wickets. While Cobb, Ball, and Pretorius took a wicket each.
In reply to the target set by the Spirits, Welsh started in a dodgy manner losing 1 wicket in the first set of 25 deliveries and scoring just 21 runs.
Poor run for Clarke continued as he departed on a score of 9. Cobb, Bethell, and Miller couldn’t last long either as they all fell short to Lawrence. Duckett played a good inning of 34 runs. Critchley gave them a little bit of hope but he too perished on 21 of just 7 deliveries.
For
London Spirit, Dan Lawrence and Chris Wood took 4 wickets each today. Thompson
took a wicket too.
Welsh Fire fails to win a game of cricket yet again. London Spirits wins this game with ease and they have almost qualified for the Knockout stage having played six and won 5.
