So that brings us to an end of this contest here at the Oval. The home side walks away with a clinical win and a lot to look after for the Phoenix side going into the next game. For now, this is me Ajay Ahire signing it off along with my co-commentator AkshayaKrishna Polya alongside our scorer Manish Bishnoi. Until then stay safe and stay cool...
Dane van Niekerk | Oval Invincibles Women Captain: "It is good to be back in the team, and winning gives you more confidence. It was a clinical performance from our girls.

We were good with the ball, field and with bat. So overall it was a great performance from the side. We have a lot of quality left-arm spinners and off-spinners as well. It was about the matchups, keeping the batters guessing. I guess sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. You have to take both.

To be honest, I am really happy with the way they bowled. The bowlers set the match for us. They made my job easier as they know the field for which they will bowl. Capsey is a great cricketer. She is young. As a captain, I am happy with the performance."
Alice Capsey | Hero of the Match: "Yeah, absolutely. Playing against the Phoenix and defeating them is a good thing for us. It was exciting to beat them. Yeah, I kept things simple and it worked for me.

I enjoy coming in after Lauren and Bates. They calm our nerves and really set us up today. I have the freedom to hit the ball as hard as possible but play with sensible risk.

The backing I've got at the moment is quite amazing.
I am trying to get good rest between the games. It has been a tournament where games come thick and fast. It is necessary to get an ample amount of rest."
That's it that's the game for the Oval Invincibles as they beat the Birmingham Phoenix by 8 wickets and registered their third win of the season. A great all-around performance from the home side to seal the deal here at the Oval. First, with the ball they were clinical and now in the later part, they outdid their opposition significantly with the bat.

Chasing 107 here at the Oval, the home side started off really well as Suzie Bates got off them to a flier as she scored 17 runs in just 11 balls with the help of 4 fours. Other opener Lauren kept the scoreboard ticking at the other end. Alice Capsey continued her good nick with the bat in this game as she scored 20 runs at an important stage of the game but eventually ends up hitting that one straight into the hands of Gordon at short third man. Then Dane van Niekerk joined Lauren in the middle and started to score runs at a brisk rate as she accessed that square leg area very well and remained unbeaten on the score of 21.

Lauren Winfield remained on the crease throughout the innings as she scored vital 41 runs from 38 balls and steered her side over the winning line. Emily Arlott was the pick of the bowlers from the visiting side as she picked up a wicket of Capsey and gave away only 8 runs in her 17 balls. The rest of the bowlers looked out of the touch as the opposition maneuvered the ball in all parts of the ground.

Earlier in the day, The Oval Invincibles bowlers' did a magnificent job and restricted the opposition to the below-par score of 106. Alice Capsey was exceptional with the ball as she picked up 3 wickets and kept the scoring rate in check. So all and all it was a clinical performance from the home side to seal the deal here at the Oval. Onto the presentations now...
87b Arlott to L Winfield
1 Smashes that back over the silly mid-on fielder to win it for the Oval Invincibles. Fuller length delivery on the middle stump line. Winfield-Hill clears her front leg and plays it over the infield for a single down to long on. OVAL WIN BY EIGHT WICKETS!
86b Arlott to L Winfield
4 FOURRR!!! Emily Arlott comes back in the attack from over the wicket. A low full toss on the middle stump line. Winfield-Hill bends low and smokes the drive over the head of the non-striker for a boundary. With mid-on inside the circle, there is no chance to stop it. Now just one hit away.

4 FOURRR!!! Fuller length delivery and outside the off. Winfield-Hill on the front foot creams the drive through the backward point region for a boundary. Slightly opens her bat face and places it past the fielder inside the circle. Once it goes through the in-field, it races away here in Kennington Oval.
78b Franklin to L Winfield
4 FOURRR!!! In the air and on the bounce to the fence. Short delivery around the middle stump line. Winfield-Hill clears his front leg and hammers the pull through the mid-wicket region for a boundary. The deep mid-wicket fiedler runs across to her left and out-stretches the left hand but to no avail. One bounce and over she goes.
