Player Bio

One of the most talented batters in English domestic cricket, Alica Capsey was born on August 11, 2004 at Surrey.

The youngster made her County debut in 2019 and in the same year, she took seven wickets in the Women’s Twenty20 Cup. The top-order marked her presence in the Surrey side, which secured a title in the 2020 edition of the London Cup.

The 2020 season of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy witnessed her emerging as the leading run-scorer with 141 runs in six appearances.

The following year, in the Women's Twenty20 Cup, Capsey returned as Surrey’s best all-round performer with 134 runs and 8 wickets.

The 17-year-old made 150 runs in eight innings of the 2021 edition of Women’s Hundred for Oval Invincibles and was a part of the title-holders.

In the 2021 edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup, the Surrey-born scored 203 runs, scalped seven wickets in six matches, and helped South East Stars win the title. Soon, the skillful batter was awarded PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

The consistent performances earned her a national call-up in the 2022 South Africa series. After scoring 25 in her first international batting appearance, the all-rounder was given an opportunity in the 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The elegant batter returned as the top-scorer for England in the league stages with 135 runs in five innings.
