Ahhhh!! Finally, we have an end to the Super 12s. So we had a great tournament, which involved various upsets and thrillers. In the end, we have four teams that will move forward and stay alive in the tournament for a few more days. It is New Zealand and England from Group 1, while India and Pakistan make it to the knockouts from Group 2.

The dates and venues are set as the first semi-final between New Zealand and Pakistan will be played in Sydney on Wednesday, while the second semi-final will be played between India and England at Adelaide Oval on Thursday.

For now, this is your guy, AkshayaKrishna Polya, who is singing off on behalf of my co-commentators Anurag Dasgupta, Badal Pareek and Ajay Ahire and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav who brought you all the live action of this mouth-watering fixture. We will meet in the next match. Until then, it is a goodbye!
Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "We were looking for a good all-around performance, and we got it. We were qualified prior to the game, but it was critical that we come out and play the way we wanted to play.

(On SKY) He's doing an incredible job for the team. It's crucial to play and relieve pressure on others. We know his ability, so the other guys can take their time as well. The dugout can relax because of his confidence when batting. He's maintained his cool. This is what we expect from him. He's getting stronger by the day.

(On the semifinal against England) The key for us will be to adjust to the conditions as soon as possible. We've played there before, but England will be a good test for us. It'll be a great contest with two teams going at it. We must determine what each individual must do. It will be a high-pressure game. We must perform admirably. We have a good game ahead of us if we play well. You must react quickly and plan accordingly.

They've been fantastic, coming and watching us. We have a full house. In the semifinal, we expect nothing less. Hats off to them, and I'd like to thank them on behalf of the team."
Craig Ervine (Zimbabwe Captain): "Surya did extremely well in the back end and countered Richie's wide yorkers, so we could have changed a couple of plans. He appeared and changed the game. We had some success with the bat prior to the tournament.

We've gone from fearless cricket to a shell in the last couple of games. There's a good chance you'll get out if you just stand there and swing. You should be more proactive. Our previous results did not go as planned. We worked hard to make the Super 12s. We'll expand on that. Throughout the World Cup, the boys fought valiantly."
Suryakumar Yadav (Player of the Match): "When Hardik and I were batting, I believe the strategy was crystal clear. He suggested that we take the positive route and see where it leads us. We started off strong and didn't let up until the 20th over. The team's atmosphere is fantastic, and the build-up to the knockouts has been fantastic.

My strategy is always clear. I'm not trying anything new. In the nets, I bat the same way. (On his 2022) It feels great, but I always think when I come out to bat, "Come out and start from zero," and I'll keep doing that. It's encouraging to see people come out and support us even after we've qualified."
4:50 PM IST | So, that is the end of the match, and that is the wrap for the Super 12s. Four teams from two groups- New Zealand and England from Group 1 and India and Pakistan from Group 2, make it through to the semi-finals!

Earlier, India won the toss and opt to bat first. The Men in Blue lost their skipper Rohit Sharma very early in the piece. Then KL Rahul and Virat Kohli steadied the ship with a 60-run partnership for the second wicket. Once Virat was out in the 12th over, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant followed the King. But Rahul was impressive before getting out with a glorious 51 off 35.

But the game got a turning point when Suryakumar Yadav took charge, who, alongside Hardik Pandya, added 65 runs for the 5th wicket. While Hardik looked scratchy, SKY showed his class yet again with an array of strokes as he finished unbeaten at 61 off 25 deliveries with 6 fours and 4 sixes to propel India to 186/5 in their allotted 20 overs.

For Zimbabwe, Sean Williams scalped a couple of wickets, while Sikandar Raza, Richard Ngarava and Blessing Muzarabani scalped a wicket each. While spinners were decent with their economy, pacers were taken to the cleaners.

Chasing this mammoth total, Zimbabwe lost their way when the Indian new ball bowlers swung the white ball both ways and dented the opposition by picking wickets in clusters. At one stage, Zimbabwe were 36/5 after 7.3 overs. But Ryan Burl, alongside Sikandar Raza, counter-attacked to put India under some pressure as the duo added 60 runs for the 6th wicket.

Once, this partnership was broken by Ravichandran Ashwin in the 14th over as he castled Burl's (35 off 22) stumps, Zimbabwe lost their way again and were bundled out for just 115 in the 18th over. While Raza (34 off 24) batted for a while and was the ninth man to go, Zimbabwe's tail surrendered and failed to reduce the margin of defeat as they handed India a win by 71 runs.

For India, the pacers did the job of eliminating the top and middle order, while the spinners cleaned up the lower order and the tails. All six bowlers scalped wickets in which Ravichandran Ashwin was the most successful, with three wickets to his name. While Hardik Pandya and Mohammed Shami picked a couple of wickets, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel picked one wicket each.

Stay tuned for the presentations!
With this win, Rohit Sharma has the most wins in T20Is in a calendar year...
