Imrul Kayes: "They started very well and the momentum changed after the rain break. Mustafizur bowled in the right areas and didn't give away much runs. I wanted to bat in the top order and the coach gave me the chance tonight and I tried my best. The ball was coming nicely and was not gripping. Me and Liton were discussing to bat for around 10-12 overs and we did exactly that."

Naeem Islam(Losing captain): "I think before the rain we have a good momentum but then we don't cope with that. Imrul and Liton batted really well and took the game away from us. We didn't score that much of runs at the end of our innings and that's where we lagged in the game."

In return, the openers started off quite modest and galloped 46 runs inside the powerplay. Imrul Kayes was given lbw and later the decision was overturned as the Victorians' skipper had gloved it. They showed caution with aggression and played in a calculative manner. All of a sudden right in an over of Mehedy Hasan, Imrul Kayes, and Liton Das smacked three sixes in an over and shortened the difference between runs and balls. They needed 22 runs in 24 balls and did it with ease despite losing the wicket of Liton das at the cue end of the game. 6 runs were needed from 12 balls when Liton got out and all Faf Du Plessis had to do was walk in the park.
So, what a way to bring up glory here. A four and six from the skipper who lead from front in the chase. Comilla Victorians wins the game by 9 wickets via D/L method and pocket two useful points here.

Nahidul Islam, who started the first over bowled in some tight lines in the powerplay. The other few bowlers turned out a bit expensive in the powerplay as Afif Hossain and Will Jacks eased away boundaries around the park. They summed up 55 runs after the mandatory powerplay and right after that Afif was cleaned up by Tanvir Islam. Shamim Hossain was ticking over quite well and supporting Will Jack's who raced to his half-century in no time. Just then, heavy rain made an appearance and the game was paused and curtailed to 18 overs per side. Right after the resumption of play, Mustafizur Rahman wreaked havoc in their batting line-up and went on to pick up a fifer. There was a space where he bagged four wickets within 10 balls. 6 SIXX!!! Finishes the things off in style. Ohh captain my captain. Imrul Kayes is the hero for the Comilla. Mrittunjoy bowls it on a fuller length again outside the off. Kayes makes room and slashes that one over the sweeper cover for a maximum here. What a strike to seal the deal for his team. With that they beat the Chattogram Challengers by 9 wickets.
