We are happy to have him, he has been a match-winner for Afghanistan. Our batting was not up to the mark and we need to address that. Both the fast bowlers bowled well on this pitch. The bowling was great and also the fielding, the batting was the main concern and we will look to address that in the coming games. "
Mehidy Hasan Rana (Player of the Match): "Thanks. I was normal. Bowled normally. The wicket was slow, so I planned to bowl accordingly. Pressure is always there, always have to play it with. I bowled out of the arc and bowled well and slower balls. As Mushfiqur was saying, I was bowling the cutters and getting good dividends from the wicket. "
Mushfiqur Rahim (Losing Khulna Tigers Captain): "Yes, definitely. It was a chaseable score. 160 was a good score. I would have taken 140 any day. We lost early wickets and that's where we lost the plot. They bowled really well, especially Mujeeb at the top that set us back. We knew he was our biggest threat and we couldn't do it. Hope we will come back stronger in the next game."

Gayle was the only batter who looked comfortable out there in the middle, he contributed 45 runs off 34 balls. The second-best score for them was by Hridoy who added 23 runs. Others had a really tough time out there. They did get off to a solid start but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. A lot of changes were made to their batting order with Gayle finally back opening the innings, the only thing that wasn't really right was the fact that Shakib pushed himself down to number 7. The Tigers were excellent in the field and with the ball in hand. Perera was the pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets for 18 runs in his 4 overs. Islam and Reza were the other two bowlers who managed to get two wickets each. The Tigers managed to reduce them to a below-par total and had a target of 142.

Post Ali's dismissal came a powerful cameo by Thisara Perera who smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground. Rahim was still out there in the middle while things started to crumble from the other end. They kept losing wickets and finally were bowled out for 124 runs in the 19th over.
