That's all we have from this enthralling Test series. For the time being it's a good bye from AkshayaKrishna Polya who was along with Ninaad Dixit and Akshay Bhide as we brought you all the live actions from this match. Stay tuned with us for the coverage of cricket matches all around the world. We will meet again in the next match. Until then, it's cheers..!
Both the teams are with the trophy posing for the pictures with smiles. Ross Taylor is with his family and in tears. Kudos to a great Test career and all the best for his future.
Tom Latham | New Zealand Skipper: "To come and put the perfect performance was ideal for us. We wanted to work on few areas, and we did that really well. We wanted to put pressure from both ends and wanted to build partnerships. We did well to put a big first-innings total. It is about finding a way in different conditions. It is important we are able to adapt to the situation. We weren't quite there in the first Test, and credit goes to Bangladesh the way they played. The fast bowlers keep putting their hands up. Neil Wagner, it's very hard to get the ball from his hands. As a captain that is what you want. The bowlers did a bloody good job on a tiring wicket. Ross Taylor rocked up and took the last wicket. He has been there for 17 years and has been such an important member of the group. We will miss him for sure."
Mominul Haque | Bangladesh Skipper: "We are definitely proud of the way the boys fought in the series. Especially to win an overseas Test is always a great achievement. The first Test was very good but the second was a disappointing one. It all comes down to the mindset while playing overseas. When Liton Das batted, it didn't look like it was difficult to bat on. But that's the mindset he has developed."
Devon Conway | Player of the Series: "Certainly very happy the way the team has played and happy with my contribution. It was a tough period when I was afraid of getting hit on the hand again but I went over that fear. You just want to contribute day in and day out and it was nice to contribute again and get a win. You have to adjust to your game plan and conditions as much as possible. And credit goes to Tom Latham, the way he played was commendable. The guy (Ross Taylor) has played 120 odd (112) Tests and I leaned on him when I needed his advice. He is a great bloke to be around and we will miss him in the dressing room."
Tom Latham | Player of the Match: "It's nice to finish off with a win. Came out here with 1-0 down and happy with the performance. We looked at areas to improve and I guess we did it. First innings scores are important and focused on building partnerships while batting. Was under a lot of pressure while taking the last catch. Never I have ever felt that amount of pressure. It's always nice to contribute."
Ninaad: Ross Taylor walks away teary eyed after the small chat with the broadcaster. It has been a great career with more highs than lows. Taylor has been a great servant for New Zealand cricket and for World cricket as a whole. Hanging your cap after so many years is never easy.
Ross Taylor: " I suppose if you bowl in such situations, you will end up getting a wicket more often. We played fantastically well after we were put under pressure by Bangladesh after the first Test. We needed to win this match to level the series. I wanted to finish with a win and the guys really did it for me. Knowing that you are under pressure and the way we bowled and put them under pressure yesterday was amazing. It was quite emotional for me, my family and friends here. Tom kept telling me to bowl and I did and he said it was the most pressure he felt in the match. It was a great way to finish."
New Zealand wins by an innings and 117 runs. Ross Taylor leads his side on the way back to the pavilion. A huge standing ovation for a great man from the Canterbury. Series is level at 1-1.

Liton Das,  oh man! just give a heap of praise for him as he was the only batter from the visitors to toil the Kiwi bowling attack. But it was not enough as the mountain was in front of him to climb. He hit some delightful boundaries to Boult, took on Wagner's aggression. He continued his merry way to 102 until a in swinger from Jamieson traps him in front. Ross Taylor was given the ball for the over just before the new ball was available. Crowd welcomed him with a loud cheer. He didn't disappoint them as he puts the last nail in the Bangladesh's coffin. That was his third test wicket as he bids adieu from Test Cricket.

Earlier in the day, New Zealand asked Bangladesh to follow-on with a lead of 395 runs. Openers, top order and the middle order all got some starts worth the twenties and the thirties. But they couldn't play long innings as Liton Das did. Just a 100 plus partnership for the sixth wicket that was a record for Bangladesh in New Zealand. Jamieson ended with four wickets while the ever steaming in Wagner ended with three crucial ones.

In the first innings Bangladesh were skittled out just for 126. Thanks to Trent Boult's 5-fur. He crossed the 300 wickets mark as he became the fourth Kiwi to do so. Bangladesh at one stage were 27/5. Yasir Ali fought alone with his fifty. Southee chipped in with three wickets.

On the first day, Mominul put the New Zealand to bat first. Latham gave them a dose of his talent as he notched up a very very nice 253. Devon Conway scored back to back hundreds in the series. Taylor for one last time in whites scored a quick and delightful 28. Will Young and Tom Blundell scored entertaining fifties. Sooner the skipper of the Blackcaps declared their first innings at 521/6. Tom Latham became the first player in the history to take five catches and hit 250 runs in the same match.

The series has been shared by two teams at 1-1. Though the Bangladesh has lost this match by a huge margin they played well in the first match and won it by eight wickets. It's surely a achievement for them. This series will be a huge boost in the confidence of the Tigers from Bangla.

Now, New Zealand will have a short  limited over series coming up against Australia in their soil. And the Bangladesh will tour to South Africa in March for both red ball and white ball series.
