That's all from our coverage of this thrilling encounter. I hope you have enjoyed our coverage as much as we have loved bringing it to you. Join us tomorrow for loads of cricket from around the globe. For now, this is me Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ajay Ahire and Ajay Singh. We will see you soon. Till then, stay happy, safe, and cool, and get vaccinated if you still haven't. TA-TA and ADIOS!
Mohammad Rizwan (Winning Captain): "The way we assessed the situation was good. The ball was gripping a bit. Khushdil Shah did well in the game in all departments. We knew this wicket was a 160-170 wicket. Everyone batting first was losing in Karachi. But I believe if we play good cricket throughout the game, we can win any game. We are performing well and hope to continue doing so."
Sarfaraz Ahmed (Losing Captain): "Iftikhar getting out and Faulkner getting Run Out were the turning points in the game. The wicket was playing well, we thought we could chase it down, but lost wickets at the wrong time. The bowling was decent, we have to work on our fielding to get better and to progress in this tournament. All in all, a great game to be a part of. "
Shan Masood(Player of the match): "I am in a pretty good mental place right now and that has reflected in my batting. Took some break before the season and that's helping me now. Unfortunately, we lost Rizwan early and the wicket got slower in the middle overs but in the end, we covered it well. David Willey bowled it brilliantly in the death and won the game for us. Yes that catch on the last ball has to be the moment of the match"
Time for the post-match presentation with Bazid Khan.
That's the end of the game. Multan Sultans has held their nerve and edged out the Quetta Gladiators by 6 runs to win the game at the death. WOW! What a superb game we have had here in Karachi.

In the chase of 175, it was Ben Duckett's 47 alongside Iftikhar's 30 off 13 balls and 18 of 12 from Faulkner and 13 from Naseem Shah alongside skipper Sarfaraz's 21 and Ahsan Ali 24 took the Gladiators almost through the chase. But, they fell short by just 6 runs as a side batting first finally won the match.

For the Sultans bowlers' the spin duo of Khusdil Shah and Imran Tahir were magnificent with 3 wickets each and so was David Willey under extreme pressure with 3 for 22 in 3.5 overs winning the game in the end. While the others went the distance, these three ensured that the Sultans edged the Gladiators in an edge-of-the-seat thriller by 6 runs.

Earlier in the game, a masterclass from Shan Masood 88 off 58 balls enabled the Sultans to get to a competitive 174-4 in 20 overs in a slowish pitch at the National Stadium. A valuable contribution from Tim David 28 off 16 balls alongside Riley Roussouw's 21 and Maqsood's 21 took them to 174-4.

For the Gladiators' bowlers, a couple of wickets for Hasnain and a wicket for Faulkner along with a run out there as well. Faulkner and Hasnain were economical as well but the others went the distance especially towards the end.

A win by the Sultans by 6 runs keeps them unbeaten and they sit pretty at the top of the table with 6 points. Heartbreak for Sarfaraz and his men.

Stay tuned for the presentation coming your way.
The soft signal is OUT. Catch check here and the Third Umpire is having a look. It's a Fair Catch. OUT is the call.
19.5 D Willey to N Shah
W It's finally game over! Short to Naseem, who middles it so well that it sounded like it's travelling all the way for a six. But wait, Tim David at deep square-leg boundary has taken it. But his balance is all over the place. He throws the ball up in the air, goes over the rope, jumps back in, and completes the catch. The TV umpire has been called to the rescue again, and the replays show it's a clean take! Sarfaraz and Naseem are dejected. A team batting first finally wins a game in PSL 7.

19.4 D Willey to S Tanvir
W Willey gets Tanvir! Goes short and into the batter, Tanvir pulls it straight to the deep square-leg fielder. Rossouw makes no mistake in the deep and holds onto a straightforward catch. Is that the game over for the Gladiators?
19.3 D Willey to N Shah
1 Gets Tanvir back on strike. Willey goes a touch full and straight. Naseem inside edges it on the on-side towards midwicket for a run. Rizwan wants his field to be perfect for the next ball.
19.2 D Willey to N Shah
0 Another DOT! Willey goes short, no pace for Naseem to play with. Goes for wild pull and the ball zips past him to the keeper.
19.1 D Willey to N Shah
0 Good length ball around off, Naseem Shah wants to slog it but can only mistime it to short midwicket. No run.

18.6 S Dahani to S Tanvir
4 And the game stays alive! Shortish delivery outside off. Tanvir fetches it to pull towards deep midwicket. He has hit it hard. The fielder in deep can't keep his cool and spills it over the boundary rope. It's a four! 8 needed off 6!
