Milestone
Right then. Tasmania wins this comfortably in the end with 5 wickets and nine balls to spare, courtesy of a brilliant knock from Ben McDermott. Tasmania looked in deep trouble at one stage having been reduced to 88-3 in the 17th over mark. What followed was a 136 run stand between McDermott and Wright. Tasmania tried to fight their way back in with 70 still required off the final ten overs but that was not the case, not on McDermott's watch at least. Tim David provided the final touches, as he struck a 23 ball 36 to guide his team to victory. Special mentions Tasmania's bowlers, Thomas Rogers and Peter Siddle in particular who ensured that Western Australia wouldn't breach the 300 run barrier. The former was exceptional as he led an attack that reduced Western Australia to 225-6 from a position of absolute strength, from that point onwards Western Australia was playing a catching game. With damp conditions and dew kicking in, Tasmania didn't mind taking it deep. That's it for today folks. This was Anmol Ahuja ably supported by my fellow text commentators Badal Pareek and AkshayaKrishna Polya. Until next time..Cheers!

47.4 M Kelly to T David
4 Four again, fuller on off. David drives it along the ground through extra covers for a boundary. Just 4 needed now for Tasmania.
47.3 M Kelly to T David
4 Short and outside off stump. David drags it from outside off across to the mid-wicket region for a boundary.
47.2 M Kelly to B McDermott
W Wicket!!! Short and on middle, McDermott pulls it straight to the deep square leg fielder. A brilliant innings comes to an end. McDermott gets the standing ovation. Well played though.
47.1 M Kelly to B McDermott
4 Full length at the stumps. The batter makes room and plays it down the ground for a boundary. The mid-off fielder was in the ring and all he had to do was beat him.
