Milestone
That's it for the coverage of this game. This is me- Rohit Yadav along side Ajay Ahire signing it off from here. Do join us for 2nd game of the day to be played between Team Abu Dhabi and Delhi Bulls.
Hazratullah Zazai has been chosen as 'Player of The Match' for his 55*(31)
A convincing 30-run win for Bangla Tigers! So Northern Warriors' misery comes to an end as they end the campaign with just 2 wins in 10 games. On the other hand a compressive win for Bangla Tigers will give them big boost in playoffs though this win won't make any difference to their standings at the point as they would still finish at 3rd or 4th. Chasing the target of 120, Northern Warriors lost their way after losing both openers in first 8 balls. Then Samit Patel alongside Skipper Powell and Whiteley batted throughout middle overs without much intent. Umar Ali at the end tried his hand but it was too little too late. Tom Hurtley (2-0-12-2) was most successful bowler for Bangla Tigers. Earlier in the day it was 94 run unbeaten partnership Hazratullah Zazai and Faf du Plessis which gave Tigers a good total. In earlier part of the innings Zazai never looked good but at the end he made up for it with some big hits while skipper Faf as reliable as ever scored 20-ball 38 runs. Warriors could get only one wicket in form of Johnson Charles. This win takes Bangla Tigers to no.3 at points table.
