So, this is it from the 2nd game of the 5th edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 league. Team Abu Dhabi beats Bangla Tigers by a massive 40 runs and starts their campaign with a bang.

I hope you've liked our coverage for this game and we will be bringing many more actions live, starting from the Semifinals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali, WBBL, T10 Abu Dhabi league, and many other bilateral tournaments such as Ind vs Nz, Pak vs Ban and much more.
Until then, it's time to bid adieu from Arijit Kundu and co-commentator, Ayan Bhattacharya.
Man of the match: Marchan DE Lange
Arriving for the chase, Andre Fletcher started off in style managing to score 20 runs from the first over, i.e. 6 runs more from the required run-rate. It was Marchant De Lange who helped Team Abu Dhabi in applying the brakes. He got the better of his national teammate, Faf Du Plessis as he knocked him over with a deceptive slower one. He also bagged another wicket in the over which was the other dangerous opener, Andre Fletcher.

It was from here on that the Bangla Tigers' middle and lower order couldn't really glue the inning well. They were always in a hurry and let them down. They managed to get 17 runs of the bowling powerplay and from thereafter lost a couple of wickets in tandem. De Lange came in and knocked off three wickets right in the 7 th over to push them on the backfoot. In the end they lost eight of their wickets and could manage only 105 runs to sum things up. Marchan De Lange was the pick of the bowler, bagging a fifer tonight.

Earlier in the game, Faf du Plessis of Bangla Tigers had won the toss and opted to field first. Team Abu Dhabi lost their first wicket right in the first over when Phil Salt troubled himself with a runout. Liam Livingstone was the next to come in and thrashed hattrick of sixes against James Faulkner in the 2nd over. Soon, in the last ball of the over, James Faulkner outfoxed him with the deceptive slower one and knocked off his off stump.

It was Chris Gayle and Paul Stirling from here on. Both these men went on to keep the scoreboard ticking by playing some fascinating shots all over the park. Gayle and Paul Stirling took slowly and steadily changed the gears after the 5th over and took the Tigers' bowlers apart. Both of them raced to a 97 runs partnership together before Paul Stirling was removed by the veteran Benny Howell.
Stirling went dismissed after amassing 59 runs from 23 deliveries. Jamie Overton was the next man in, and couldn't go long before he thrashed one straight into the hands of the bowler, Isuru Udana. Following this Gayle pumped a few sixes and managed to get 145 on the board. Christopher Henry Gayle remained not-out at 49 from just 23 balls. One wicket each was scalped by Benny Howell, James Faulkner, and Isuru Udana.
So there it is, What a way to start the campaign for Team Abu Dhabi.  Winning by a margin of 40 runs here at the Sheikh Zayad Stadium.

Courtesy to some fine bowling display of Marchant De Lange. He broke the top order of the Abu Dhabi lineup and also cleared up the middle and lower-middle order in no time.  Not to forget the great batting display from Paul Stirling and Chris Gayle, which helped them steer to this total.

For the Bangla Tigers, not really the perfect way to kickstart the tournament. But still a long way to go and plenty of things to rectify.

W BOWLED HIM! Cleaned him up. Briggs strikes in his only over and Udana departs after a cameo. 8 down 104.
9.3 D Briggs to I Udana
4 Use of the feet to that yorker-length flighted ball and hits down the ground for FOUR!
The 3rd umpire has been referred over  a no-ball confusion. Its perfectly fine below the wais of the batter and therefore the 3rd umpire signals it a fair delivery.
9.2 D Briggs to L Wood
1 A single to bring up the 100 for Tigers, but too late in the game. On leg stump, turns it to midwicket for a run.
9.1 D Briggs to I Udana
1 Short ball, helps it on its away for another run.
