Karthik: Three out of three for Galle Gladiators over Jaffna Kings as they go through to the LPL 2021 final! Chasing 189 for victory, Avishka Fernando started with a maximum but Mohammad Amir roared back with an in-swinging delivery to knock the opener's off-stump. Tom Kohler-Cadmore didn't last for long too as he gave a return catch to Nuwan Thushara.
At one end, Rahmanullah Gurbaz was batting beautifully but Ashen Bandara accumulate a lot of dot deliveries. Bandara was eventually sent back when Pulina Tharanga cleverly fielded a drive from Gurbaz and flicked onto the stumps!
After a small partnership, Jaffna fell in deep trouble when Shoaib Malik drove a full-toss from Pulina straight to the fielder at extra-cover. Soon, Gurbaz also fell as he skied a length delivery from Thushara to long-on.
