Skipper Angelo Mathews lost his wicket early in the innings as he toe ends a fuller-length delivery straight into the hands of Theekshana. soon followed by him Priyanjan lost his wicket thanks to some lazy running in the middle. Then Seals gets the breakthrough on the first ball of his spell as he picked up the wicket of Dhanjaya de Silva on the score of 11. The experiment of trying Perera in the middle order has backfired as he can't make an impact here.
