And with that Galle gets another win here as they beat Warriors by 4 wickets. What an end to this exciting contest but we all know from the start that 143 wasn't going to be enough for the Warriors.
Chasing 144 runs they started off brilliantly as they put on a 62 runs partnership for the opening wicket and Gunathilika was the main anchor in that partnership. Kusal Mendis was then dismissed by Kamindu Mendis as he was found plumb in front of the wickets.
Then suddenly runs started to get dried and the spinners went on to tighten the screws of the Gladiators batters. And while taking on Colombage Gunathilika losses his wicket and was dismissed on the score of 46. Then the pressure was kept on building on the batters and soon after Hafeez also threw his wicket as he hits a short ball straight into the hands of deep square leg.
Ben Dunk was then found plumb in front of wickets on the score of 3 by Asalanka and then after Rajapaksa played some crispy shots but he can't continue with that and lost his wicket to Powell and the target was getting more and more difficult for the Gladiators but in the end, Dhananjaya Lakshan and Lahiru Madhushanka produced a match-winning partnership and stirred Gladiators home in the end.
