So that's it from the first one-day international between South Africa and Bangladesh. The visiting side has drawn the first blood so a lot of to look after for the home side in the upcoming matches of the series. Hope you enjoyed all the action here on our network and do join us for all upcoming matches from all around the world. For now, this is me Ajay Ahire signing it off along with my Co-commentators Badal Pareek and Saurabh Saket with our scorer Zeeshan Naiyer. Until then stay safe and stay cool...
Tamim Iqbal (Winning Captain): "Yaa definitely it's a big win for us. I and Liton gave the perfect platform. Yasir and Shakib played superbly and a nice couple of cameos in the end that lifted us to the huge total. Our fast bowlers doing well. If you think about Bangladesh now it's not about the Spinners it's also about the Pacers nowadays. Mehidy came back really well and he came back towards me by saying give me the ball I will change the game for you and if you ask me he was my man of the match. Definitely, we have the chance to grab the series. We know they will try their best to make the comeback and we need to prepare for that one."
Shakib Al Hasan | Player of the match: "When I spend around seven to eight balls, I knew we had to score somewhere near 300. We got a good start. It was easier with the old ball. Yasir batted well and a lot of credit should go to him. He played a really good innings. Not easy for someone who is playing his 3rd or 4th game and that too against SA. We needed to take some calculative risks,I thought it was important to go after the bowlers from the 30th-40th over. We had to bring Rabada back into the attack and that is exactly we took some risks."
Temba Bavuma | South African Skipper: "It is always hard going on to chase over 300. We need to have conversations about how we are not able to communicate what we actually want to do. I think we would have been happy chasing 260-70, but they batted magnificently. Chasing a total of over 300 means you need to have a big partnership and someone scoring a hundred but it didn't happen today. We also need to have conversations about our batting."
Historical performance from the Bangla tigers as they got their first win on the South African soil. Bangladesh got the victory by 38 runs in this first one-day international of three-match ODI series. A clinical performance from Bangladesh with the bat as well as with the ball. Miller and Rassie Van Der Duseen tried their best but can't take their team over the final hurdle.

Chasing a big total of 315 South Africa haven't had a good start in the powerplay as they lost 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Opener Janneman Malan was the first one to go as he nicked one behind to the keeper in the first over of Shoriful Islam's spell. His partner Kyle Verreynne scored a good-looking 21 at the start but he can't continue his start as he was found plumb in front of the wickets off the bowling of Taskin Ahmed. Aiden Markram in at number 4 position came out to bat after the departure of Verreynne but in the very same over of Taskin, he was sent back towards the pavilion on the score of 0. Temba Bavuma scored 31 runs from 55 balls but never looked in total control of his batting and ended up nicking one to the keeper.

The duo of Rassie Van Der Dussen and David Miller steadied the ship of the home side as they built a solid partnership in the middle overs. Rassie Van Der Dussen was clinical with the bat but he missed out on a century. He scored 86 runs in this chase. Yasir Ali knocked him over in the middle overs. David Miller on the hand played with an aggressive mindset and looked dominating throughout his stay but in the end, he was short of the partners, and in case of increasing the scoring rate he lost his wicket to Mehidy Hasan in the score of 79. Andile Phehlukwayo all-rounder failed to make an impact with the bat.

Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ngidi smoked a couple of blows towards the end but those weren't enough to take their team over the final hurdle and they lost the game by 38 runs. Taskin was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 3 important wickets and kept the run-rate in check. Shoriful was also brilliant at the start. Mehidy Hasan bowled superbly in his second spell and grabbed 4 wickets in his 9 overs. So all and all great performance from the Bangla Tigers. Stay tuned for the presentations...
48.5 Mahmudullah to K Maharaj
W A loud appeal but the umpire denies it. Bangladesh have decided to review this one. A touch short of good length on the stumps, the batter goes for reverse sweep but fails to get bat on it, the ball hits him on the pads right in front of the wickets. Three reds mean he is out and will have to walk back here.
48.4 Mahmudullah to L Ngidi
1 Good length delivery on the stump as the batter plays it towards mid-wicket for a single.
48.3 Mahmudullah to L Ngidi
6 Six! Ngidi is dealing in sixes here. Length delivery on the stumps, Ngidi close his eyes and smokes it into the stands.
48.3 Mahmudullah to L Ngidi
WD Full in length quicker through the air down the leg side, wide called.
48.2 Mahmudullah to K Maharaj
1 Slower through the air good length as the batter drags it to long-on for a single.
48.1 Mahmudullah to K Maharaj
6 Six! Now Maharaj smokes Mahmudullah for a maximum. Right out of the middle of the bat, short and pulled over deep mid-wicket for a biggie. It was there to be hit and boy did he do that.
