So we have come to an end of such an exciting World Cup. It was a pleasure bringing all the live action to you all through the tournament.  Till the next time it's adieous from me (Arya Sekhar Chakraborty) and my fellow commentators Anurag Singh, Anurag Dasgupta and Arjun Bhalla.
Time for Aaron Finch to lift the T20 World Cup trophy.
Aaron Finch, Australian skipper- This is huge. This is the first Australian team to do it. Proud of the way we played all through the tournament. We knew our backs were against the wall. If you keep putting people's back to the wall people will respond and they did exactly that.

I cant believe some people wrote Warner off. That's when he comes out all guns blazing. Zampa got some big wickets and is a super player for us. Marsh what a way to start his innings. He put pressure on the New Zealand bowlers. Marcus Stoinis was exceptional as well.
Now it's time for the Australian players to collect their medals from Jay Shah and Sourav Ganguly.
Kane Williamson, New Zealand skipper- "Look you know with the start we were trying to get a platform with the surface holding. We built a few partnerships and at the halfway stage we were confident but Australia played brilliantly all through the tournament.

At the halfway stage we made every effort to make a good score. Having said that, credit to the Aussies for having chased down the total. They didn't give us an inch. Proud of my team's effort. Real consistent like we operated. We came and gave the best shot in the final but it wasn't good enough. Guys really are committed what we like to do.

We adapted well. We were very competitive. Once again the team tried very well but Australia played brilliantly and today they really turned it on. One day at a time. Such is the life in international schedule, we turn our focus again. Winning and losing are two possible outcomes and its a shame that we couldn't get over the line today.
New Zealand will now collect the runners-up medal from BCCI president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah.
David Warner is the Player of the Tournament- "Look I always felt really well. two practice matches didn't get much time. But for me was to get back to the basics. I managed to do that and came out here and scored some runs. This is up there with the 2015 World Cup. The 2010 loss against England was a hard pill to swallow. This is a terrific bunch of people. Look I am always pumped. A great spectacle for everyone in the venue. Little bit of nerves around there with a big score but it is a great moment for all of us."
Mitchell Marsh is the Player of the Match- absolutely. Feel like lot of people saying this but I don't have words (emotional). Coaching staff came up to me in West Indies and asked to bat at 3. Everyone involved in the Australia team backed me to bat up there. Not a whole lot of thinking which went into that. Stoinis always keeps telling about the presence. Can't believe it. Just unbelievable.
The match officials will now collect their memorabilia. Starting from match referee Ranjan Madhugalle, onfield umpires Marais Erasmus, Richard Kettlebroigh. Tv Umpire Nitin Menon and 4th umpire for today Kumar Dharmasena.
Time for the post-match presentation ceremony.

Arya: Now coming back to the match, what a sensational run chase it was from the Aussies. After losing the early wicket of Aaron Finch, it was all David Warner and Mitchell Marsh who took the New Zealand bowlers by the scruff of the neck and destroyed their attack with utter disdain. Right from the word go, Warner and Marsh were aggressive which is their biggest strength since time immemorial.

Warner who had a tough time coming into the championship looked in sublime touch right from the word go. He found the gaps to perfection and played the big shots whenever the required rate went up. Mitchell Marsh was the missing piece which Langer was talking about. What an effort by Marsh. He played the field to perfection and when the big shots started coming, it was all over for the Kiwis.

New Zealand got a much-needed break in the form of Warner's wicket and it was Trent Boult who provided the huge breakthrough. However, Marsh never stepped off the peddle and kept piling on the agony on the Kiwis. In the end it was an easy run chase as Australia romped with seven deliveries to spare.
Justin Langer, Australia head coach: "It's hard to process into words. This is such a special group of people. When we all got back together it was great. It is a very special moment for everyone. We knew how much talent we had. Leading into the World Cup in the series against West Indies and Bangladesh, there were a few missing pieces and Mitchell Marsh took one of those pieces.

We embraced fun. These guys had so much fun on and off the field. In the game of cricket its imprint to enjoy. These guys have done this and it's very important to our success. Zamps (Adam Zampa) puts a smile on my face. He is different but so so competitive. We have seen leg spinners having impact in this format. Hazlewood had some back issues in the last World Cup but has come back strong."
Glenn Maxwell: "Zampa has been magnificent for us. He has been working hard throughout and among leg-spinners in white ball cricket, there aren't too many better at the moment. I was able to give myself a few days off before the tournament and prepare well."
Steve Smith: "This T20 World Cup means a lot. We have worked hard for a long time and it is honour take back home. Warner's last two weeks have been amazing. A lot of people wrote him off, but he came in with exceptional intent and took the game away at the start."
Josh Hazlewood: "There's always pressure as the batters come hard at you. We kept them at 40 after the power-play, but Kane played a brilliant innings, he is a superb player. It was a classical Kane innings."
Adam Zampa: "Really happy with this victory. Not an easy thing to stay in the bubble, it takes a toll on the body. I just tried to bowl to my strength, to the best of my abilities. Credit goes to them (support-staff) they have been magnificent. Pretty good effort by the side. We know our roles and that makes things easy for us."
Mitchell Starc: "It hasn't been the ideal set up. We have got around one and other and I think that shows. The closeness of this group got us through in this tournament. Zampa has been fantastic, he's been our best white-ball bowler in recent years and he allows the pacers to do our job."
Pat Cummins: "I am feeling really calm (chuckles). It hasn't sunk in yet. It's a good thing we played some IPL over here. Even with Hazlewood, it was about not getting to funky and deliver the good balls while mixing it up."
Marcus Stoinis: "Can't believe this. We love each other, I'm so proud of this team. You won't find bigger supporters of Mitch Marsh than us and his family."
Mathew Wade: "This is huge for us. People hardly gave us a chance, but we have proven them wrong. So proud of our performance. The partnership with Stoinis in the semis changed everything. Can't just say that it was my innings. We realised that if the boys can get off to a good start, we can win this one. We are the first team to win a T20 World Cup for Australia and we are proud of this achievement."
