So that is it from the 2nd t20 of the series as the Protea secures a victory and seals the series win over the hosts. SriLanka will be looking to comeback in the last t20 of the series to be played on 14th September. This was Arijit Kundu covering the game for all of you with my co-commentators, Anurag Singh and Anurag Dasgupta(DG). Hope you enjoyed the coverage. Stay tuned to onecricket for more cricket action from CPL, IPL, NZ vs Pak, and many other bilateral series coming this month.
Keshav Maharaj | Winning skipper:All credit to my team. They made my life easier. We had simple plans and it all paid off. It is important that we keep building on the positives. We could bowl better in the powerplay and with our batting. There has been a vast improvement in the last two years for us. We read the conditions early and identified that spin was difficult to play. Aiden just stepped up with the lefties were batting. Shamsi's spell opened up the game from one side and the bowlers made my life easier. Full credit, whoever came on did their job."
Tabraiz Shamsi ( Man of the match): "I am just one part of the unit and I just do my job on the day. We have quite a few quality bowlers in our attack. These pitches take a lot more turn than the ones back home. We need to use it to our advantage and you can see the quality in our bowling. Sri Lanka prepared spinning wickets and we fought fire with fire. I put my heart and soul into the team. It's just the emotions of my hard work coming out in my celebrations."
Man of the Match: Tabraiz Shamsi
Dasun Shanaka (Losing skipper): " We were targetting 140-150. We knew it would turn and wouldn't be easy in the later parts of the game. I think the batsmen need to concentrate more in the game. We had a good start and we weren't able to capitalize. Credit to the South African bowlers, they read the wicket really well and varied their pace. We should have looked for partnerships instead of the big shots. We need to change our approach in the middle overs. It is a major concern and we need to come up with better plans in the future for the World Cup. The mindset and the approach need to change in the boys. We should have a strong mindset and have the belief that we could do well."
Arriving for the chase, Reeza Hendricks and Quinton De Kock started off things quite smoothly. De Kock gave a flying start, hitting boundaries around the park. Both the batters were timing the ball from the middle of the bat and reading the spin quite well. Both of them glued a 60 runs partnership and then, Hendricks fell cheekily to Hasaranga. Aiden Markram came in and supported De Kock well to wrap things off before 35 balls to spare.

A special mention to the passing showers which interrupted the game in both the innings. De Kock with 58 not out from 48 deliveries was the highest run-getter for SouthAfrica in this runchase.
Earlier in the game, Srilanka had won the toss and elected to bat first. This was perhaps the only thing that went in favor of the hosts. They lost a couple of wickets in the powerplay in the form of experienced Dinesh Chandimal and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Rajapaksa and Kushal Perera were looking to steady the shape after their first blow but couldn't continue it for long.

The Lankans came out with a positive intend and scored 52/2 in the power-play. But the introduction of spin changed the course of this game. It was Shamsi the magician once again. The batters seemed to misread him terribly and gave away wickets. Markram and Fortuin maintained the pressure from the other end and bagged wickets too. Kushal Perera, who was returning from a mandatory break was the only batsman looking good. He too fled after the 10th over, scoring 30 off 25  deliveries.
Sri Lanka managed to score 103 before all their wickets flurried. Shamsi and Markram bagged a three-fer with Markram sealing his career-best figures in t20 international. Fortuin scalped two, and Maharaja and Nortje bagged one wicket each.
And with that boundary, South Africa seals the t20I series and leads by 2-0. It's been quite an easy chase for the men in green and gold and the wicketkeeper-batsman, Quinton De Kock has made it look more comprehensive. South Africa chases 104 with 9 wickets in hand and 35 balls to spare.
14.1 P Jayawickrama to Kock
4b FOURR!! With this boundary, South Africa win the match as well as the series. Length delivery straight on the leg stump line. De Kock goes for the reverse sweep, misses the ball completely and as well as the keeper who fails to grab it. The ball flows past Chandimal for four byes.

4 Four! Perfect way to end the over. SA need 3 runs to clinch the series. This was tossed up on the stumps. Markram leans into the drive and drills it powerfully and beats the man at mid on. The fielder at long off gives it a chase, but fails to stop the boundary..
13.5 Silva to Kock
1 Waits for this slower length delivery. Opens the face of the bat and dabs it behind point to collect a single here..
13.4 Silva to Kock
2 Wrong line here! Slants it on the legs. de Kock nutmegs the keeper with his whip and has enough time to steal a couple of runs..
13.3 Silva to A Markram
1 A little shimmy down the track. Reaches to the pitch of this fuller length ball and drills it down to long on..
13.2 Silva to A Markram
0 This one turns back in. Markram hangs back and nudges it to square leg..
13.1 Silva to Kock
1 Flighted, outside the off. de Kock slaps it down to long off and jogs for a run..
