So that's it for the day from our side then. This is me Kingshuk singing off from TNPL on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay and Arya. This was shaping up to be a landslide victory for Chepauk and they will feel hard done by what transpired out here. However, it will take a long time to forget what the 40-year-old battle hardened R Satish did tonight. Picking up 5 wickets for just 10 runs in four overs is no small feat and Chepauk will take lot of positives from the game. For Tiruppur though, it will once again be about going back to the drawing board and analysing what went wrong.
UPDATE | 10:54 PM IST - Our worst fears have come true. The match has been CALLED OFF. The second one on a trott in the TNPL.
Update | 10.08 PM IST: There is a drizzle in Chennai and the covers are still in place. A good drainage system in the stadium has allowed the water on the outfield to drain out. Let's hope we get some play. Stay tuned for further updates.
Update | 9.43 PM IST - The umpires have scheduled an inspection at 10.10 PM IST, which is less than 30 minutes from now. First, the rain has to stop to have any chances of play tonight. Will update you with more news.

Weather update | 9:13 PM IST - The drizzle is still heavy out there in Chennai. Yesterday the play was halted during this hour and the organisers waited till 11 pm to call the game off.
