Eoin Morgan lifts the trophy and the celebrations begin. That's all for the coverage for this game. As usual, it was a pleasure bringing you the live updates of this series. Now it's time to say goodbyee.. Till the next time, ta-ta and goodnight from me, Anurag Dasgupta, and my co-commentators, Arjun Bhalla and Anurag Singh.
Eoin Morgan | England skipper: "I think the most impressive thing has been our bowling, adapting to conditions, two on the same pitch at Cardiff and here, an outstanding effort from our seamers. We can't fault anything in this series, but looking towards the World Cup, we are looking at the Powerplay and death bowling. We've made some great strides in this series, and extremely proud. No let-up, any opportunity, the group of players give us different options, and into the Hundred as well."
Kusal Perera | Sri Lanka skipper: We know it was always going to be tough but the batting has not been upto the mark. We are not used to the pace and bounce and the execution was not great and we need to have good back-up plans facing a team like this. We have to take responsibility and play to our strengths and that's the best way to approach these kinds of situations.
Sam Curran | Player of the Series: Very pleased with how the series went. I try and do my best with whatever role that's given to me. It swung pretty consistently throughout, it was quite strange but fast bowlers weren't complaining.
Dawid Malan | Player of the match: Always nice to score runs and when you get a start like that, just keep it going. To get that partnership set us up nicely towards the end and we always thought 180 was a good score. Opening is the place, breaking into this team is tough enough and I'm just happy to fill in the spot. We know how we want to play as a team and it is something that we talk about and there's obviously criticism sometimes but Morgs (Morgan) backs us to play the way we do. When I do get criticism I do like to go out and show what I've got to people who got opinions. If people think I'm good enough (to play Test cricket) and be selected I'd be glad to do it.
Presentation ceremony coming up in a while.
DG: Earlier in the day, Sri Lanka won the toss and Kusal Perera decided to field first. The new opening duo of Jonny Bairstow and Dawid Malan started cautiously. They negotiated the initial two-overs and then Bairstow decided to break the shackles. The Yorkshire born continued his good form from the T20 Blast and hammered the Lankans all around the ground. His partner in crime, Malan too joined the party and the duo stitched a 105-run stand for the opening wicket. Bairstow was foxed by a peach of a yorker from Udana and the dashing opener departed for a well compiled 51. Malan found some form and the Southampton track suited his style of play. The southpaw scored freely and eventually reached his half-century. At one stage, England were 142/1, well on their course to reach a total in excess of 200. But then the lightning struck in the form of Dushmantha Chameera who spoiled the party for the hosts and used his variations to trap the English batters. The speedster used the cutters really well and scalped 4/17 to restrict England at 180/6, which in the end proved to be more than enough for Eoin Morgan and his troops to defend.
DG: Chasing a stiff target of 181, Sri Lanka got off to a horrendous start, losing Gunathilaka on the very second delivery of the chase. To be honest, the Islanders were never in the hunt, playing rash shots and hardly connecting anything from the middle of the bat. Skipper Kusal Perera’s poor series continued, as the southpaw departed for just 3 on the board. Once Perera departed, wickets started tumbling at regular intervals and Sri Lanka never came out of their shell, as they struggled for runs against a quality England attack. In the end Sri Lanka only managed to score a paltry 91 on the board and fell well short of the target. For England, David Willey was the pick of the bowlers, picking up 3 wickets, and was amply supported by Sam Curran with his 2.
DG: Sri Lanka are bundled out and that's' the end of the match and England have won this game by a large margin of 89 runs. With that victory the hosts have also clinched the series, 3-0. A big congratulations to the Three Lions, who were simply outstanding throughout the series.
Arjun: England complete another whitewash in this format. What a dominant force this Eoin Morgan side is! Sri Lankan skipper and the think tank really need to put some serious thinking.
Chameera reviews the LBW decision. The on-field decision is out. First things first, no bat involved as shown in the ultra-edge. Ball tracking coming up. Impact in-line and that's umpire's call on top of the middle stump.
18.5 M Ali to D Chameera
W OUT!! Moeen Ali gives the last wicket here and Sri Lanka lose the series 3-0. A flatter, quicker one skidding off the surface and hits the back pad of Chameera right in front of the stumps. Loud appeal from everyone and the umpire raises his finger. Chameera decides to review this one as it's the last wicket. DRS shows it's umpire's call and this game is done and dusted.
18.4 M Ali to L Sandakan
1 Tucks away this short one off his pads for a single.
18.3 M Ali to L Sandakan
0 Slightly short turining away from Sandakan who pushes this back to the bowler.
18.2 M Ali to D Chameera

18.1 M Ali to L Sandakan
