That's all from the commentary box folks. What a cliffhanger it again turns out to be. In the end Rajasthan Royals hold their nerves and eke out a narrow victory. Till tomorrow's match between the Chennai Super Kings and the Punjab Kings its ta-tat and babbyee from me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Vikhyat Jain.
Jaydev Unadkat, Man of the Match: I think I have a lot of experience now. This was kind of a homecoming for me, I would like to bowl with the freedom I got with the new ball. This time I didn't get the first game so I knew when the chances came, I'd have to take them. Worked out really well today. If you see the stats, I think I only bowled about 4 or 5 change of pace. It was the wickets I got that's why it seemed like I bowled more, but it was about hitting the hard lengths today. There was moisture and I made use of it today. [Marriage] changes you as a person as whole, won the Ranji after I was engaged. I feel calmer, more settled. I think it's working.
Jaydev Unadkat is the Man of the Match for his exceptional spell.
Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals skipper: To be very honest, I thought that it was tough from 40 for 5. We had Miller and Morris, but I thought it was tough. It's about reading the conditions. It was a little sticky at the start. Taking pace off is the strength of our fast bowlers and that worked out. We had a chat with Chetan and he was confident and clear and I thought he could take the responsibility. I was praying inside, Morris can you please get one six. [The refused single] I always sit back and review my game, but if I got that match 100 times, I would never take that single.
Time for Harsha Bhogle to have a chat with Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson.
Jaydev Unadkat gets the Upstox Most Valuable Asset of the Match Award. Bags a trophy and cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Jaydev Unadkat is the Cred Powerplayer of the Match. Bagged 3/12 in his 3 overs spell in the powerplay. Gets a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Chris Morris bags the Unacademy Let's Crack it Sixes Award. Gets a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Jaydev Unadkat is the Dream11 Game Changer of the Points. 110 fantasy points for Unadkat, bags a Dream11 Trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Chris Morris is the Safari Super Striker of the Match. He gets a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
Sanju Samson bags the Vivo Perfect Catch of the Match Award for the catch of Shikhar Dhawan. Bags a trophy and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.
It's time for the Post-Match presentation ceremony.
Chris Morris, Man of the Moment: That happens every now and then in the game of cricket, I thought Delhi played really well. Dave played a great hand and it went out way. [On that refused single last match] I was gonna run back no matter what because Sanju was hitting it so sweetly. People underestimate how fast I run. Sanju was hitting it like a dream that night. I think the dew plays a part here. I think they hit the length a lot better than we did and they got a lot of guys skying with the extra bounce. But we would have taken a chase of 140-odd. There are guys that get paid to bat and guys that get paid to slog, and I know which I am. That's why I play so much golf. I think the last game, that close game, we took a lot as a team. For us to get as close on the day, we took a lot out of that first game of ours. Nice to know we can win from anywhere after being down in the dumps.
Rishabh Pant, Delhi Capitals skipper- I think the bowlers did a really good job in the start, but we let them get over us in the end. We could have bowled better. Dew got the better of us. I think we were 15-20 runs short. But there is something to gain from this match, the bowlers did well at the start. Hopefully in the future we can pull things off. I think in the second innings there was more dew than the first innings so we had to be doing our part, because the slower ball wasn't stopping.
Arya: Rishabh Pant who is going through a purple patch in his career carried on his rich vein of run-scoring form and scored a magnificent half-century which actually helped the Capitals get to a competitive total. Lalit Yadav, Tom Curran and Chris Woajes chipped in with some important runs which eventually helped DC get to a score of 147. Pant was the highest scorer with a knock of 51. In the end it didn't prove to be enough as Rajasthan chased the target down in the final over.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was DC skipper Rishabh Pant who won the toss and put Rajasthan Royals in. Jaydev Unadkat who had a few off seasons in the IPL roared back to some form bagging some quick wickets in the powerplay. The left-arm pacer bagged the top three including Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane breaking the backbone of the Delhi Capitals.
Arya: Jaydev Unadkat joined Chris Morris in the middle and smashed a very important six to keep them in the chase. In the penultimate over, Morris smashed two lusty blows of Kagiso Rabada to get the equation down to 12 of the final over. Morris finished it off with two gigantic sixes as Rajasthan Royals won a nail-biting thriller by 3 wickets and with a couple of deliveries to spare.
Arya: Shivam Dube and Riyan Parag also fell pretty early and it looked that the Delhi Capitals were well on course for their second victory of the competition. David Miller had other ideas and kept Rajasthan Royals in the match with some fine hitting in the middle overs. His stand with Rahul Tewatia got RR back into the game and despite the fall of Tewatia, Miller kept going. He smashed two gigantic sixes of Avesh Khan in the 16th over but fell in an attempt to smash the third consecutive one.
Arya: Chasing 148 to win, Rajasthan Royals started off fluently but three wickets fell in a space of 5 deliveries which put DC in firm control of the match. Some exceptional bowling from the Delhi Capitals helped them claw their way back into the game as Manan Vohra, Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson fell in quick succession. That put them well on the backfoot and David Miller needed to play well if RR had to harbour hopes of chasing the target down.
Arya: What a way for the Rajasthan Royals to open their account in Vivo IPL 14. In the end it was a sensational knock from the blade of Chris Morris which got Rajasthan Royals over the line. He remained unbeaten on 36 of 18 deliveries which was studded with 4 game turning sixes.
