Milestone

Babar Azam: It is important to win the first game, gives confidence. Outstanding innings from Rizwan that finished the game. In the last five overs, we came back well. We just planned to keep the partnership moving. In the last five overs we came back well in the ball and Rizwan's knock was the difference. We just wanted to get momentum early and then we had Fakhar in good form.
Rizwan | Man of the Match: It was a slightly tricky pitch in the second innings. But the way we started was good. You get pressure in international cricket. The message from the dugout was to keep going and thankfully it worked. We did discuss the long batting order and the importance of one player scoring big.

Klaasen: We were 10-15 short, we had to get over the 200 marks. The way the openers played we knew we had to get a big total. Discipline with the ball is key if you don't get what you wanted. We need to fine-tune field placements as well Fine-tuning and execution need to be there. The game plan is there, need to execute.
Arjun: Pakistan lost Faheem in the last over and a couple of misfields plus a few slogs from Hasan’s blade took the most unpredictable team win by four wickets, with a ball remaining. The visiting side has taken a 1-nil lead in the T20I series after a remarkable ODI series win.
Arjun: The keeper-batsman got a faithful partner in Faheem. They started the assault by targetting Williams in the 17th over and then collected 16 runs from Hendricks’ over. The game was in Pakistan’s hands as South Africa choked in the last overs.
Arjun: The man of the moment, Fakhar came out to join hands with Rizwan. The pair was looking in fine tune and Pakistan was on the box seat. However, Shamsi brought the magic by taking Fakhar and Hafeez down. Soon, Hendricks removed Haider and Nawaz on two consecutive balls, but there Rizwan who was batting brilliantly on the other strike.
Arjun: The fifties from Markram and Klaasen’s blades laid a taunting total for Pakistan to chase. The visitors had a score of 189 runs to chase and they had a respectable start to the second innings. The duo of Babar and Rizwan stitched a stand of 41 runs within the first five overs before Hendricks scalped the opposition skipper with a short delivery.
Pakistan has won this game by four wickets with a ball remaining.
