Arjun: With this win, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes have finished on the fifth position in this year's Super50 Cup. On the other hand, the Barbados Pride will be called the bottomliners for this edition.
Arjun: The Leeward Islands Hurricanes have crashed the Barbados Pride in this fifth-place game by seven wickets. Devon Thomas' side showcased a clinical performance against the Pride. The Hurricanes had a target of 266 runs and they chased it down in some style. It all started with the 59 opening stand between Kieran Powell and the skipper. Powell got out but the skipper got Nitish Kumar's assistance. The duo shared a 61-stand before Kumar fell on an Ashley Nurse delivery. Then came Keacy Carty who stiched the most vital partnership alongside Thomas. The skipper scored a well-calculated century (117 off 129) but he got out when his side where 61 runs away from their second win of the season. But his wicket did not cost the Hurricanes much as in the end, Keacy Carty (50 off 63) and Jahmar Hamilton (37 off 25) stayed unbeaten to seal the deal for the Hurricanes.
