Keacy Carty gets the Man of the Match award for his blistering knock in the chase!
Arjun: What a One Day encounter we all witnessed! The Hurricanes had a target of 302 runs on a pitch which was supposed to slow down in the second half of the play but Keacy Carty wrote his own script for this nail bitter! The Hurricanes got off the blocks quickly and the openers provided the team a 55-run stand but both the openers fell within a difference of 7 runs. The Hurricanes were under some pump when the duo of Nitish Kumar (41 off 49) and Carty got onto the middle and calmed the nerves. They helped the side to move on from 62/2 to 160/3 but Kumar, who smashed a ton in the first match got dismissed! Carty then got assisted by Devan Thomas and Amir Jangoo. But none of them could last long as Jason Holder's animated yet impressable captaincy was able to make the regular breakthroughs in the backend. The Hurricanes needed 71 more runs off the last 32 balls when Walsh came. Walsh played a vital knock of 28 runs but the main guy who sealed the deal was Carty. His unbeaten 124 off 123 deliveries took the Hurricanes home. He was cramping in the middle but it was bare a pain. In the end, the Leeward Islands Hurricanes chased down the target of 302 easily with three balls spare!
