Milestone
That brings us to the end of our coverage from Onecricket and Cricket Exchange. Till the next time it's ta-ta and good night from Arya Sekhar Chakraborty on the behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Kingshuk Kusari.
It's time for Eoin Morgan to lift the trophy and pose for the photographs.
Eoin Morgan, England skipper- The series win means a lot. The style with which we play, it was a different challenge altogether. It was a slow turning wicket and we should be proud of this performance. I generally don't think the ball will spin anyway near the way it turned today in UAE having played there in the IPL. It wasn't the best of days for Buttler but the partnership with Roy really set up the run chase for us. The team looks strong and we are in a real good position. Thankyou to the crowd for their support all through the series.
Babar Azam, Pakistan skipper- We were 10, 15 runs short. We fought hard today but unfortunately, we couldn't win the match. The partnership with Rizwan was a game-changer. 15 runs more and the complexion would have been different. We played bad shots, we play well against the spinners. Bad days are part and parcel but we hope we will come back well. The West Indies tour will be different. We will try to rectify our mistakes and play well there. We use Mohammed Hafeez as a bowler according to the situation and he is in our bowling plans for the T20 World Cup.
Liam Livingstone, Player of the Series- Very happy, Nice to win a series at home. The way Rash and Mo bowled in the middle was great and in the end it was done and dusted. The lads urge me to swing hard and I have worked hard in the last few years on my six hitting abilities and it's a good feeling to provide some impact in a series win. Nice to get a few overs under my belt. The hairstyle has been working for the team. Maybe me and Jason has to keep that.
Liam Livingstone is the Vitality Player of the Series.
Jason Roy, Player of the Match- I always back my game plans. Tried to get the team off to a brisk start and it worked well today. Was a difficult pitch to bat on. We went out there and we needed to have a specific game plan. We have incredible cricket in flat pitches but we have struggled on turning tracks but winning one in a difficult surface will give us confidence going into the World Cup.
Jason Roy is the Vitality Player of the Match for his sensational knock of 64.
Time for the Post Match presentation ceremony.
Arya: Earlier in the day it was Babar Azam who won the toss and opted to put runs on the board. It was a brilliant start from Mohammad Rizwan in particular as he looked in complete command and played some delightful shots. Babar Azam didn't look in his fluent best and was eventually dismissed by Adil Rashid after scoring 11 of 13 deliveries. Sohaib Maqsood and Mohammad Hafeez were dismissed in quick intervals and the English bowlers were all over Pakistan. Fakhar Zaman scored a crucial 24 but no one could go till the end and provide Rizwan with the much-needed support. Rizwan eventually remained unbeaten on 76 of 57 deliveries as Pakistan went past the 150 mark. Pakistan fought hard but in the end it's England who prevails.
Arya: Usman Qadir who was playing in his first match of the series was belted across Old Trafford in his first over but he came back nicely in his last two overs bagging the prized wicket of Jason Roy who threatened to take the match away from Pakistan within a blink of an eye. His dismissal turned the match around as England failed to get the boundaries of the spinners. Mohammad Hafeez was handed over the penultimate over with 16 required of the final two. He got the wicket of Malan but was smocked for a humungous six by Liam Livingstone which proved to be a match-turning six in the context of the game. Hafeez removed him the next delivery but the damage was done. Hasan Ali was entrusted the final over with 6 remaining. He bagged the wicket of Eoin Morgan but it wasn't enough to hand Pakistan a series winning victory.
Arya: The pitch was not the easiest one to bat on and it was evident from the way Jos Buttler played. He never managed to get going and struggled all through his knock of 21 of 22 deliveries. However, Jason Roy looked like playing on a totally different surface and blazed his way en route to a special knock of 64 of a mere 36 deliveries. Shadab Khan gave Pakistan the much-needed breakthrough in the form of Buttler's wicket. Roy went on his merry way and was never troubled by the Pakistan bowlers. The introduction of Mohammad Hafeez proved to be a masterstroke as he turned the match on it's head with some skilful bowling. With the pitch turning, it became a tall ask for England despite the required rate under 7 for the major part of the run-chase.
Arya: The full house at Old Trafford was treated to a humdinger and in the end, England gets over the line by the barest of margins in a cliffhanger. The first part of the run chase was dominated by the home team but it was a sensational comeback in the final stretch of the match by the visiting team as they tightened the screws around the English batsmen and didn't allow them to play the big shots. The spinners bowled brilliantly and it was on the back of their impressive showing that Pakistan managed to take it down to the wire. In the end, an inside edge from Chris Jordan gave England a 3 wickets victory with two deliveries left.
19.4 H Ali to C Jordan
2 It's England who prevails in a nail-biting thriller. Full-length delivery outside off and Jordan gets an inside edge down the short fine leg fielder, no one there and Jordan has enough time to complete a brace and get his team over the line.
19.3 H Ali to C Jordan
2 A couple and that's sensible batting from Jordan. Full paced back of a length delivery slightly on the pads and Jordan works it away nicely down the deep fine leg region and has enough time to return for a couple. Not sure whether he tried to hit that fine but crucial couple of runs for the home team.

Kingshuk: I am sorry but this is Cup Final stuff. These types of T20 matches should not be wasted on bilateral series. What a collapse this from England.
19.2 H Ali to E Morgan
W Hasan Ali gets Morgan. What is happening here, clueless batting from Morgan. He just needed to work it away and England would have sailed home. Instead he goes for the glory shot and perishes. Hasan Ali bangs this short and Morgan charges down the track and ends up swatting it from the higher part of the bat straight down the throat of the long-on fielder. Poor batting from the English skipper.
Akshay: Has Hasan Ali dropped the match here? And the batsmen complete two. 4 from 5 required now.
