So this will be it from the comms box tonight. Don't forget to tune in tomorrow at the same time with us with yet another thrilling game of cricket. I, Vikhyat Jain will be signing off on behalf of Kingshuk Kusari and Arya. Until next time, Tata!! Goodnight.
Wahab Riaz | Winning captain: When we bowled, the pitch was really good to bat on. We knew they would get to 180 but they got past 190 and batted well. Imran bowled beautifully and that 20th over gave us some momentum. It gave us belief heading into the chase. We had the confidence in the batsmen, we knew that they would deliver. As a captain, it's relieving to see the team chase a big target.
Tom Kohler-Cadmore | Player of the Match: I was given the freedom to take the bowling on. Got a bit of luck early on as well. I just try to give my all to the team, if I can save runs on the field, that's a big bonus for the team.
Mohammad Rizwan | Losing captain: We had enough runs on the board but the bowling didn't quite go to plan, especially at the death. We have proven players, a few bad games doesn't change that. He (Dhani) is sharp and skiddy.
Haider Ali (24* off 8): I was waiting at one down, and I was ready to serve my team in any way I could, and Shoaib Malik said that if it's in your zone, then hit it, and I did. He calmed me down and told me we'll manage it easily. You can give credit to the bat and the batsman.
Vikhyat: Presentations and comments right away!
Vikhyat: But soon with a flurry of wickets in the middle and the ever surging required run rate, the Peshawar's were pushed on to the backfoot but Haider Ali's lusty blows down the order endured that the efforts of the top order batsmen didn't go futile.
Vikhyat: Having an arduous task ahead of them, Peshawar was off to a flyer, courtesy Kamran Akmal. He went ballistic from the word go and was making the bowler’s life tough but succumbed to the leg spinner, Usman Qadir in the process. But his absence from the picture wasn’t felt as the other two continued with their business. Tom Kohler notched up his fifty and was looking good enough for the Multan's just when he was outdone by another young fast bowler, Shahnawaz Dhani.
Vikhyat: It was Peshawar who won the toss and opted to field first and the tall left-arm, Mohammed Irfan, provided them with an early prize in the form of Chris Lynn. The early wicket allowed the bowler’s to contain the runs in the powerplay as both the batsmen were wary of not losing more wickets. Rizwan and Vince did some stitching work and propelled their side towards a competitive total on the board. Just when Rizwan was looking like a menace, he perished to a slower one from the young Mohammed Imran just after the end of the first 10 overs. But Vince carried on with Maqsood who came out all guns blazing and gave the right impetus to the innings. Vince slaughtered all the bowlers around the park and anchored the innings to a mammoth total of 193 runs on the board. Well there wasn’t much to talk about the bowling side but the two young fast bowlers Imran and Saqib did a decent job with the ball.
Vikhyat: After an exciting play of almost 40 overs, Peshawar's emerged the victorious side and gleans their first points of the season. Wins the game by 6 wickets with an over to spare. A hard fought victory for the Peshawar's and credit to the Multan's for putting up a show out there.
