So that's all from us today. This is Nikhil Kulkarni signing off along with my colleagues Akshay Bhide and Vikhyat Jain. Stay Safe and Take Care!
Alex Carey is the man of the match: "Very happy with the results. We know this was a big game and the rest of the matches in the tournament are big games. Hopefully, we will keep the momentum going from here. The big Wes Agar was fantastic with the ball. We have tried every opening combination in the book, we went back to what we did a few years ago. Weatherald was outstanding at the top. It's great to have Travis Head back in the team. Philip Salt came in and played a really good role. Hopefully, someone will pick me in the IPL Auction. A couple of big games to go, Sydney Thunder have played well, and hopefully, we will be able to continue with our winning momentum."
Nikhil: Earlier today Adelaide Strikers won the toss and elected to bat. Jake Weatherald opened the innings with Alex Carey. Weatherald was excellent in the power play as he played some exquisite shots to take the score to 43 in 4 overs. Brisbane Heat asked Labuschagne to bowl and he was immediately hammered for a couple of sixes by Alex Carey. Alex Carey immediately smashed one back to Labuschagne and he failed to hold onto the catch but the ploy to bring Labuschagne worked when Weatherald tried to clear the boundary but got out the last ball of the over. The drop catch cost the Adelaide Strikers as Carey went onto hit a 100. The first 100 of this BBL Season. Philip Salt made 26 and Travis Head made 25 to build a partnership with Carey. Carey got out in the 20th over and was dismissed for 101 off 62 balls. Carey's century helped Strikers setup 197 on board.
Nikhil: Brisbane Heat couldn't get going in their innings. Chris Lynn started off well but couldn't get going. He got out scoring 17 off 9 balls. Marnus Labuschagne who opened the innings struggled to adjust to this format. He was rotating the strike well but couldn't hit any big shots. He got out scoring 28 off 25 balls and hit only one boundary. Siddle coming back after the injury took 2 wickets off 2 balls in his 2nd over to put a dent in this chase. Wes Agar bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets in his 4 overs and gave away just 27 runs. Brisbane Heat started to lose wickets at regular intervals and never looked like they could chase this down. Brisbane Heat have just 2 games remaining and they will have to win both and along the way, if they can win the Bash Boost point that will give them a good chance to qualify for the playoffs.
Akshay: What a Blinder from Neser to end the match. Runs to his left and dives and grabs the catch in his left hand.
17.3 Peter Siddle to Mitchell Swepson
W WICKET!!!! What a catch that was from Neser. Single-handed diving to his left finishes the match with a bang. Full from Siddle, Swepson looking to get over the mid-off fielder but Neser was standing tall there and latches on to it. Big victory to the Strikers. This will dent the courage and journey of the Heat big time.
17.2 Peter Siddle to Xavier Bartlett
1 Full-on the off-stump, chips it for a single over covers
17.1 Peter Siddle to Xavier Bartlett
0 Perfect yorker, Barlett brought his bat down just in time and did well to block it

16.6 Wes Agar to Max Bryant
W WICKET!! Final batsman back in the hut. Full-on the stumps, Bryant tried to despatch it into the crowds but too much was left for him, and gets caught at the deep mid-wicket region. Fielder completes the catch easily
16.5 Wes Agar to Mitchell Swepson
1 Another yorker, right on the money, Swepson defends it to the covers and scampers for a single
16.4 Wes Agar to Max Bryant
1 Full toss on the pads, flicks it for a single to the leg side
16.3 Wes Agar to Max Bryant
6 SIX!!! Too short and slow from Agar, Bryant wasn't going to miss that, hoicks it over the deep square leg fielder for a maximum.
16.2 Wes Agar to Mitchell Swepson
1 Brilliant execution of another yorker from Agar, Swepson gets an inside edge and gets a single to the deep square leg region
16.1 Wes Agar to Mitchell Swepson
0 In the blockhole, perfect yorker. Dot ball
