So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and my commentators, Akshay Bhide and Arjun Bhalla. Stay tuned to OneCricket's coverage of the remainder of the BBL
Andre Fletcher - It means a lot. First I want to thank the coaching staff for believing in me. A few days ago I got a phone call from the great Brian Charles Lara and I was overwhelmed. The advice that he gave me, I decided to go into the game and apply myself. It goes to show why he's so great. I want to donate that fifty to my uncle who passed away a few weeks ago. Every day the batting coach Luke Wright and David Hussey have been reminding me I've been striking the ball well, it's just a matter of getting some luck to go on. It's good to have a big score in the MCG and I'm looking for some more. (About the superstition of not tying shoe laces) When I get going I try my best not to let things distract me. My shoes started coming untied (the more I scored) so maybe that's the reason.
Comments from the Man of the Match
Adam Zampa, in particular, feasted on Adelaide's lower order to end with his best BBL figures of 5/17 from 3.1 overs. Carey and the entire Adelaide team management would look back at the chopping and changing of the batting order. Apart from the skipper promoting himself, a natural opener in the form of Jake Weatherald was also pushed down to the middle-order. They will want to forget this as soon as possible as any side will feel down after a 111-run loss.
What a shocking batting effort from Adelaide Strikers. Alex Carey promoted himself to open the inning but it didn't work at all. On the other hand, Glenn Maxwell's decision to start with spin at both ends paid off as both Salt and Carey fell within the first three overs. Matt Renshaw and Jonathan Wells stitched a sedate 36-run partnership but the innings unraveled after the former was dismissed in the 10th over.
14.2 Adam Zampa to Liam O Connor
W BOWLED' EM!!!! And Zampa has five-for. Drifting in on the stumps, O Connor fails to get any bat to it and the ball crashes on the stumps. With this Stars beat Strikers by 111 runs
14.1 Adam Zampa to Liam O Connor
0 Tossed up around off, O Connor tries defending and misses
