So that's it from us for this match. This is Nikhil Kulkarni, along with my colleagues, Kingshuk Kusari , Arjun Bhalla and Aryasekhar Chakroborty signing off. Take Care and Stay Safe.
Nikhil: It's a disappointing loss to the Melbourne Stars. They will have to regroup quickly and win a couple of matches now to stay alive in the tournament.
Nikhil: Melbourne Stars were without Pooran today but they were welcomed with some disciplined bowling from Strikers. Daniel Worral was excellent at the start of the innings. He put the pressure immediately on the batsman. Wes Agar and Rashid Khan kept bowling the tight lines to put pressure on Stars. Rashid Khan took back to back wickets of Larkin and the big fish Maxwell to put a dent in their scoring rate. Melbourne stars would have struggled without the contribution of Stoinis(47 off 31 balls) and Maddinson (48 off 34 ) who played a brilliant innings at the end to get the score to 149 runs.
Nikhil: Adelaide Strikers move to the third position in the points table. It's been a clinical performance from them today. Strikers started well with Phil Salt and Alex Carey stitching a 31 run partnership after the early wicket of Renshaw. Carey tried to smash one to go for the Bash Boost point but got out in the process. Strikers were reeling at 97/4 before Jonathan Wells and Jake Weatherald got together and played a sensible innings. Wells scored 36 off 27 balls and Weatherald scored 19 off 16 balls. Strikers were still few runs away from the victory before Gibson put his hand up and scored a quick 22 off 13 balls to register the win for Strikers with one over remaining
Wes Agar is the player of the match! Wes Agar: "It's the simplicity of my game that has helped me to do well. At times, I have tried to change a few things for T20 cricket but have realized it to keep it simple. It's sad to say goodbye to Rashid, I am shattered. I told him that we are going to miss him".

Arjun: The dropped catch tells you the story of the day for the Stars. From being down and under, Maxwell's men really came back hard but like the drop chance on the last ball, the match slipped away from Stars' hands.
18.6 Liam Hatcher to Ryan Gibson
2 OH, DEARR! DROPPED! Gibson tries to smash at this full length ball outside off but doesn't time properly. The ball lobs up in the air to the fielder at point who drops an easy catch. Gibson rushes for the second to finish off with the victory.
18.5 Liam Hatcher to Ryan Gibson
4 Full toss outside off and Gibson places this one through the vacant deep mid-wicket area for a boundary. Just 2 needed now!
18.5 Liam Hatcher to Ryan Gibson
WD Tries to bowl an yorker outside off and the ball is away from the tramline and it's called wide.
Arjun: 4 singles on the first four balls but the bowling side needs much more than that! Come on, Liam Hatcher!!! You can still turn the tables here
18.4 Liam Hatcher to Rashid Khan
1 A touch shorter outside off, Rashid pulls this one to wide off long on and takes a single.
18.3 Liam Hatcher to Ryan Gibson
1 Back of a length ball outside off and Gibson pulls this one to the on side and takes a single. 8 needed now off 9 balls.
18.2 Liam Hatcher to Ryan Gibson
1 A touch fuller and Rashid gets his bat low and almost sweeps that one to the on side for a quick single
18.1 Liam Hatcher to Ryan Gibson
1 Fuller outside off and Gibson smashes hard at this one but will get only a single.
Kingshuk: Arjun looks pumped up, so am I and I am sure Nikhil, who is commentating right now, is charged up as well. And that is what the BBL does to you. As the final leg kicks off the matches are getting closer and closer.
