Arya: So that's all for the day guys from the commentary box. Tata and babye from me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and my fellow commentator Akshay Bhide.
Arya: Winning the toss it was Adelaide Strikers who won the toss and opted to bat. It was a pretty good start for the Strikers but they lost their way in the middle overs. Renshaw and Alex Carey chipped in with useful knocks but the main momentum was provided by Jake Weatherald and Ryan Gibson. They shared a sensational stand of 96 runs which propelled them to a score of 171 runs. Eventually, the score proved to be way too much as they ended up winning the match by 60 runs.
Arya: Chasing the target of 172, the Renegades started off pretty well but fell off quite astonishingly in the final 10 overs. They lost Aaron Finch in the very first delivery but the partnership of Mac Harvey and Sam Harper shared a good stand and resurrected the innings. However once the 2nd wicket fell, it all went haywire as they kept losing wickets on a consistent basis and eventually were bowled out for 111. Peter Siddle and Wes Agar bagged three wickets each and were pivotal in bowling them out for just 111 runs.
Arya: That's an utterly dominating performance from the Adelaide Strikers as they thrash the Adelaide Strikers by 60 runs to register their 4th win of the tournament. Meanwhile, the Renegades loses their 7th consecutive match on a trot. Yet again the batting woes continued for the Renegades as they were bowled out cheaply for just 111 runs. So early exit on the cards and Aaron Finch quite rightfully showed his disappointment in the dugout. As far as the Strikers were concerned, they posted a more than competitive score of 171 courtesy exceptional knocks from Jake Weatherald and Ryan Gibson. Eventually, the target of 172 proved to be way too much for the Renegades
Akshay: A comprehensive victory for the Strikers tonight. They beat Renegades by 60 runs.
19.1 Peter Siddle to Noor Ahmad
W WICKET!!! another well-directed yorker and Ahmad has no answer, tries to heave it down the leg side, misses it and it crashes onto the stumps, so a comprehensive victory for the Adelaide Strikers and yet another horrible performance with the bat from the Melbourne Renegades
