Arjun: As the game finishes unexpectedly in just two and a half days. We would take leave. So, that is it from me, Arjun Bhalla and my co-commentators, Akshay Bhide and Arya Sekhar. Join OneCricket's coverage for the upcoming tests and all the other live cricket matches played around the world.
Arjun: Some big remarks by the Indian skipper in the post-match interview. As he said, the game was India's till Day 2. The Indians batter did show intent. The bowlers didn't bowl in the right areas. And, the pointer I would like to add, pathetic field by the Indians. They have atleast 8-10 catches in this match. They would need to work on it before the Boxing-Day test.
Virat Kohli: It's very hard to put those feeling into words. We had a lead of 60-odd when we arrived. And then just collapsed. Played two days of good cricket to get in a position and then just lose it in an hour. Really hurts. Probably didn't have enough intent in the batting today. It's something that needs to be reflected and learn from. Bowlers bowled similar kind of areas in the first innings as well, but then our mindset was to get runs. There were some good balls. But I don't think it did anything drastic. Just the atmosphere was created where runs were difficult to come by. I think it was a combination of both - lack of intent, and bowlers bowling in good areas. Obviously you want to be committed to the team's cause. Confident the boys going forward will reflect on this and come up with a better result on Boxing Day. No news on Shami, he's going for a scan now. Was in a lot of pain, couldn't even lift his arm. We'll probably know in the evening what happens.
Tim Paine: No, not really. Said in the media both these attacks have the ability to take quick wickets. Didn't expect it to come that quick. Was expecting a real dogfight. To hang in, give our bowlers a chance, and then turn up and start the day the way we did. Full credit to our bowling attack again. Nice to get off to a good start. Chuffed with the way we bowled in this Test. Still a bit of work to do with our batting. Burns is a really important part of our team. All cricketers know how hard it is to come out of a rut like that.
Arjun: Australian skipper Tim Paine wins the Man of the Match award for his 73 not out in the first innings.
So thats it from the commentary box folks. What a horrific day for all the Indian fans. Lets hope India make a dramatic comeback in the Boxing Day Test. Stay tuned for the action in the 2nd Test. Till then tata and bubye from me, Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and my co-commentators Akshay Bhide and Arjun Bhalla.
Arya: Wade was dismissed by a brilliant piece of fielding by Shaw and Saha but it was Joe Burns who returned to form with a fiery half-century, He took on the attack to the Indian bowlers after getting hit on the arm in the opening session and eventually took Australia past the victory target. Ashwin dismissed Labuschagne but that was too little too late in the end as Australia ended up winning by 8 wickets.
Arya: Hazlewood bagged 5 wicket haul while Cummins chipped in with as it turned out to be one of the darkest days in Indian Test cricket history. The target of 90 was never going to challenge the Australian batting line-up. They started off in an aggressive fashion as Wade struck a flurry of boundaries to derail the slightest of chances which the Indian bowlers had.
Arya: So a comfortable victory for the Aussies in the end as they go 1-0 up in the 4 match Test series. They completely changed the tide in the first 40 minutes of the day's play and dismissed India for their lowest ever Test score of just 36 runs. Relentless line and length from Josh Hazlewood and Pat Cummins never really allowed any of the Indian batsmen to settle inand in the end none of the batsmen could make a double digit score.
Arjun: A depressing defeat for the visitors here at Adelaide Oval. No one could have imagined this from the Indian side at the start of this day. Mind-boggling dominance by the hosts on Day 3 and it has cost India the Test match.

Akshay: It will go as a dropped chance but a fitting end to both the teams. Australia finish it with a six and India drop a catch.
20.6 Umesh Yadav to Joe Burns
6 SIXX! The game is over for India and a dropped catch, yet again. The hosts take the 1-0 lead in the series. Bangs in short and Burns pulls it with authority. The fielder at the fine leg boundary has a chance as he goes back to take it with one hand but fumbles as the ball roll over the boundary line. Burns remains unbeaten on 51!
20.5 Umesh Yadav to Joe Burns
0 Back of a length ball on middle and leg, goes on the back foot on his toes and drops it to on side.
20.4 Umesh Yadav to Joe Burns
0 Length ball outside off stump, Burns tries to push the ball to third man but misses bat on ball
20.3 Umesh Yadav to Joe Burns
0 Back of a length ball on middle and leg, flicks it to the fielder at square leg. Just 3 runs needed now!
Akshay: Australia now 3 shot away from leading the series 1-0.
20.2 Umesh Yadav to Joe Burns
4 Fuller length way outside off and Burns places it to deep backward point
