Player Bio

Priyanaz Chatterji is another promising medium-pacer who has been coming through the ranks for Scotland national team. Apart from being a Wildcat, Chatterji has also donned the jerseys for Oxford University, Surrey, and Wellington.

Chatterji’s affair with the game began when she was six years old and used to play with her father and brother in the backyard. She followed her brother’s footsteps to the local cricket club at Forfarshire CC. Further played Scotland Under-16, at the age of 12, and then graduated to the national team as a 15-year-old in 2008.

The pacer then spent 8 months in Australia, where she played cricket in Perth to sharpen her skills as a speedster. Chatterji also played some professional games in Australia and then provided a stint in London with Finchley Gunns CC. After the UK, she made her T20I in the World T20 Qualifier in 2018. She then travelled across the globe to New Zealand in 2019 for Wellington Blaze in the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield 50-over competition.

Chatterji is another Wildcat who has to play all across the world to get some experience under her belt as Scotland does not get enough opportunities on the world stage. During the limited exposure, the Scottish has shown, she can be a potent force when given the chance.
