Player Bio

A tall swing-seam bowler, Hannah Rainey is a professional Irish cricketer who was elected as the President of Edinburgh University Cricket Club in 2018.

After impressing in the Cricket Scotland Regional Series and the Vitality Women’s T20 Cup, the Eagles bowler has the chance of an international debut at the ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifier after being called into the full Scotland squad for the first time. She made her debut against Uganda women on July 7th, 2018 and scalped 1 wicket in three overs as Uganda were bundled out on 47.

The London-born pacer has improved a lot in the past few years and with some solid performances in the English domestic circuit, she has cemented her spot in the Scottish women’s team.
