During his Under 19 days Ricky Bhui was a prolific run-getter who had the ability and appetite to get vital runs under his belt. He started off with a bang when was just 17 scoring seven 30-plus scored in his first nine innings. As a result he was drafted into the Andhra Pradesh Ranji Trophy side the same year. He was drafted into the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad in 2014 but hardly got an opportunity to showcase his talent. He has been labelled as a potential talent and one to keep an eye on for the future. He got limited opportunities in the 2016 and 2017 editions and didn’t quite have the best of IPL seasons in 2018.
